Last thing I need today. After losing my beloved rabbit yesterday I just wanted a quiet day today...
I just received a message on ebay from a bidder on one of my ponies:
Hi starshinescustoms,
When I was outbid on this item I bought another one and would like to withdraw my bid as I have no use for two of them. I was not aware that my bid could once again become the high bid.

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

Regards,
*Name*

This bidder isn't the highest bidder and there are only 4hrs left on the auction.
Of course I wouldn't hold this bidder to it if he did somehow become the highest bidder. But is it really necessary for me to retract the bid this late in the auction - especially when the bidder has already been outbid?
I've lost money on so many ponies like this. I really wish people would make up their minds before bidding  a bid is supposed to be a contract.

Just leave it be.  They are paranoid and I doubt they will become the high bidder again.

Thanks Marigold. I think that's what I'll do as it's so close to the end. If somehow he does end up highest bidder (extremely unlikely), I will of course not hold him to the sale.
I just don't want to take the bid off this close to the end as I will lose out on her.

I agree with Marigold - just leave it be for now. If he does become the highest bidder then you could always cancel his bid / give the next highest bidder a second chance offer, but hopefully he wont win your pony anyways

I hope this turned out OK for you. I wouldn't have removed the bid either. I really hate being messed around on Ebay, it's horrible even at the best of times. I've had 2 non paying bidders this week!

Whippy, I have had that happen too.  I had non paying bidders on one item three times in a row.  I couldn't sell the thing.  Then I offered it to the second highest bidder and they wanted to know just HOW many of this I had because I was offering it to them and they noticed I sold it before.  Ugh.  I had one.  One.  And no one would ever pay.

Just make sure to communicate, but I would also say don't bother with it.  After all, they were outbid.
I'm not really on here anymore. Email me if you need my for something.
