I know I'm a fairy tale nut
« on: October 13, 2014, 07:05:15 PM »
I have been watching a array of movies/shows that are based on true love and " true loves kiss" and I was wondering do you believe in this so called magic between to people. It seems legit but hard to come by.

I do!! Ever since me and my husband met we have had an amazing connection. Our first kiss was in the rain in a graveyard. I know it sounds weird but it was a magically awesome moment I will never forget. Since then we have been married for over 6 years and together for almost a decade. He understands me better than anyone in this world.

I may be a sucker but I believe there is true love out there for everybody!!! :hearts:

I don't know about true love's first kiss, but I do believe in true love! I'm in it right now, actually, and frankly, it wasn't the *BLAMMO* birds singing music playing, float off the ground stuff! My guy and I met 8 years ago and just kind of became a part of each other's lives :) We're COMPLETE opposites except when it comes to our love and passion for animals. I'm a romantic, goofball artist who loves fantasy and creativity, he's a straight-shooting realist who wants nothing to do with fantasy or dream worlds! Somehow we're perfect enough together to live together, spend all day together, work together and even have a TV show together! Whenever something happens, he's the first one i call and vice versa. Our relationship is amazing...but completely improbable

I believe in True Love AND True Lust!  I'm just old enough now where I can finally tell the difference.   ^.^

Lust was WAY fun, don't get me wrong.  WAAAY fun.  If I hadn't met my husband and rejected him so soundly he just had to keep persisting until he won me over, I would still be happily slutting around without even realizing the bigger picture I was missing.

I think there can be someone for everyone, and probably multiple someones for everyone, since there are quite literally billions of people in the world.  Them's a lot of possibilities out there.  Go make kisses!  Find your someone and don't settle on a d-bag with only a heavy wallet or talented naughty bits, and never stay just because you're already there and not staying seems like more effort.

You should want to kiss them in creepy places like graveyards, and call them first even if you just saw them, and they should adore your differences and not watch your show without you, or at least have the decency to pretend they don't know what's about to happen.

Because that's love.
Thank you, brightberry, for my lovely avi.

I totally believe in having "one true love", I also believe that there are many different types of love, but that you only have one true love. Having said that, although I believe that there is someone for everyone, I don't believe that everyone finds the person they are meant to be with.

To me, true love means loving each other unconditionally, taking the good with the bad, talking things out, being supportive, encouraging each others hopes and dreams, taking the time to nurture your relationship so it can grow and continue to become stronger, bringing out the best in each other, always standing together as one, never being hurtful to each other because hurting them only hurts yourself and vice versa, equal partners in looking after the home and providing for each other/your family, no keeping score, no throwing past mistakes in each others faces, no name calling, everything feels different with each other in the best possible way etc. You couldn't imagine not having them by your side to experience all of the ups and downs and twists and turns that we call life, you don't look forward to time away from them because you miss them terribly when they aren't around (not in an obsessively scary non functional way, in a sweet way). What would be annoying habits to others are cute and quirky to them, you feel safe with them, hearing their voice can totally brighten your day, you find yourself interested in things you never were before just so you can understand them better and vice versa, they'll watch anything with you including stuff they hate because it means they get quality snuggle time with you :)

I knew I met my perfect match when my husband and I reconnected. Everything just seemed different to me, I was happier than I can ever recall being in my entire life and he was all I could think about. For the first time ever I wanted to be with someone not just for the "fun", but for everything good and bad. For him it was different, he insists that he knew the day we first met in high school that I was his "true love" and that one day we would end up together.

Don't get me wrong, every relationship requires work, some more so than others. I just feel like when you're really with the "one" that you're meant to be with, it just makes it so much easier to sort through issues and to handle the unexpected things that happen.

So that was way longer than I intended it to be

My first kiss with my husband was terrible. We clanked teeth and banged noses. I chose not to see him again for six months because it was so awful. We still used AIM (AOL instant messenger) to converse, but I didn't want to see him. Then he asked me out on a date on Valentine's Day and it was peacefully snowing outside late at night and the moment swept us up- he kissed me and this time it was a perfect kiss. I do believe in true love. I believe every person has someone they are destined to be with. Some meet when they are 8 years old, others when they are 98 years old. As for true loves kiss, it just takes practice! Haha! ^_^

Well, count me in as a fairy tale nut! All i do when im home is watch romantic animated movies like the old sanrio movies, Disney, Anastasia, Swan Lake, etc. Girly romatic movies with princesses or true love! xD

Personally-I do believe in true love. I always have LOL. In fact, my marriage is built off those cheesy movies. My husband and I have something very very special indeed, even though we are low income we are stable relationship-wise and extremely supportive of another. My first kiss with him was amazing! We didnt get the Disney wedding ceremony we planned because of financial reasons right after we got married in the JP office but we still have plans to put it on, theres still plenty of time to make some dreams come true! Someday. Even if not, I still feel like I have a Happily Ever After because i get to see him ever single day now for the rest of my life.

I think everyone deserves a Happily Ever After. They do exist no matter who you are, what your income is, or where you are in the world. :)

I agree with the things MikeysGrrrl stated about true love meaning you love someone unconditionally. Do I believe there's someone out there for everyone, even though you may not ever find them? Not really... I don't believe I have it in me to love someone unconditionally. My needs and wants always come first. I'm also not very forgiving. Not everyone has it in them to love or connect with others. I prefer to be alone.

Oh, it's a "what is true love" thing? Here's mine...I get sick a lot because I'm on immuno-suppressants for my arthritis. Every time myu BF would go shopping he'd bring me some ginger ale "just in case". We moved in together at the beginning of September and while I was packing I found 38 2 litre bottles of ginger ale in my cupboards!! THAT's true love  38 bottles and counting...
