I've got some questions about Sweet Scoops...

So a few months ago I was at this cool little vintage toy sway we have in town, and I was rooting around in a tub of ponies like usual. I grabbed a bunch for a dollar or two each, and included in this purchase was this little lady I didn't recognize. I didn't really think about it again, since she was a cutie and sat her on the shelf in my "fixer upper" shelf. I figured I'd look up miss mystery pony when I had some free time... and then I about crapped myself when I realized I'd just scored Sweet Scoops for next to nothing!!! I guess my question is, what is she worth with her rubbed off mark? I don't really have any intention of selling her anytime soon, but I'm just curious. I know she's incredibly rare, and aside from the rubbed mark she is in great physical condition. But at the same time I know how quickly value can decrease with something like this. Should I try and have somebody re-paint her? Should I leave her as is? I don't want to mess up and kick myself for it later on.

What a wicked find! Congrats

I can't help with value as is, but I would be inclined to leave her as is. At the end of the day she is your pony to do with as you wish, but my feeling would be that she'd be worth more in as original condition as possible. I am sure more knowledgeable folks will weigh in for you

I'd say a light bath is okay- wash away surface dirt, shampoo/condition hair. I wouldn't "fix" symbol rubs or curl hair, though.

I agree, don't do any major restoration on her, but in the end it's up to you!

I would not fix her. To some people it makes her value go down and not up. I am one that likes them to be original even if there is something wrong with them.  You could clean her up though get off any dirt. I can tell you an auction ended on eBay a little bit ago. Here is the link

Gah! She is my non-nirvana grail. Well done on a superb find and I think it would be best to leave her as-is. Congrats!

Her cone is often quite faded so she is really not that bad 100% do not touch up that symbol you ll devalue her quite a bit.

She can be weird on price - sure she went for over $400 recently...but only a few weeks before she went for $15. The latter is a ridiculous crazy lucky bargain. The former a little higher than she would normally go. She is rarer than Punzie but not as pricey. I would put her at $360 but she can move dramatically.
