The weather is making me nuts!!

Tell me about it! We had a faux-haboob sweep through our ranch on Monday, closely followed by a thunderstorm and heavy rain; nothing compared to what you guys got, though.

I would love to have you, Slug...but you wouldnt want to be here It rains 310 days a year on average...literally that is a stat. And its not like we get the heat to balance that out...we are always just soggy or a little bit damp around the edges.

I finally took my kids on a plane for a vacation to Hawaii, just in time for the first hurricane to hit in 25 years or so? We had to watch very carefully to decide if it was safe to do our island hopping, people were leaving in droves as it was free to change flights. We had to carry water with us and all state parks and beaches were closed for about two days. Glad we stuck it out though, we ended on a high note and there was only slightly more rain than usual.
So yeah, freaky weather.
