In population numbers Peachy is easily the Pinkie Pie of G1 :P However I do agree the other early playset ponies such as Baby Cuddles and Lemon Drop can be equally as populous.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I think there are tons of peachy due to the fact that she came with the first relatively cheap play set. And one that realllly appealed to little girls. The castle is dreamy but was big and expensive, the show stable was cute, but not a ton of fun and again expensive. The pretty parlour was the first playset aimed at beautification of the ponies. And well as you know, we looooved (still do) brushin some ponies! The price point was also really good! If I recall I think it was priced at around $15? Maybe $20?

Here's a list of ponies I've put together that at any given time there are at least 5 on ebay:
Glory
Moondancer
Posey
Firefly
Skydancer
Bow tie
Cherries jubilee
Lemon drop
Majesty
Lickity split
Starshine
Windy
Parasol
Masquerade
Fizzy
Ss North Star
Pony bride
Cotton candy
Baby stockings
Rose dust
Sprinkles
Sunbeam
milkweed and tumbleweed
Dibbles and nibbles
Sniffles and snookums
Baby shaggy
Sundance
Baby tappy
Baby moondancer
Baby surprise
Apple jack
Shs spring song
Shs flower burst
Mgr flower bouquet
Pina colada
Dancing butterflies
Steamer
Daddy bright bouquet
Mommy sweet celebrations
Bubbles
Banana surprise
Sherbet
Twilight
Taf fifi
Blue bell
Princess primrose
Baby glory
Baby tiddlywinks
Baby cuddles
Bbe baby half note
Medly
Sugar berry
Baby sea pony sea shimmer
Baby sea pony celebrate
Flutter yum yum
Party time
Blossom
Bng bouquet

The Pretty Parlor & Peachy was also available for a number of years and through lots of mail offers. It's a very common playset.

I usually give away any extra Peachy's I have - almost all my cousins and 2nd cousins have gotten at least a Peachy from me to start their pony collections. I have a ton of Sundance too - but that's just because I tend to use her to display ponywear.

Aaaargh I drown in Italian peachys.

She came with the pretty parlour over here. But I still think she was being sold seperately too. Or something.
There are sooooo many of them, and not as many pretty parlours...
