Comparison shots of the original FS RD release vs new Rainbow Power RD

So, I figured since I was lucky enough to get her today, I'd share the pic of my lovely new roller skating Rainbow Dash and compare her to both the original and the "Discorded" wingless FS RD (Her hair colors are IDENTICAL to OR/2010 release RD so...who knows WHAT that wingless freak is )

Next shot...their hair color differences are pretty obvious...the new one has much more neon colored strands and has the same darker red as the dark-haired Applebloom.

Here they are on their display sides. The two officials have identical symbols, but the new one's eyes have a cute little star-shaped shine on both eyes!

Newbie's face seems a little larger, and her eyes are much bigger than the OR/2010. I, myself, prefer the OR/2010, but I think it's a small difference not many would notice. The new one looks a *touch* taller, and her head is more rounded.

Butt shot! The blue and purple are pretty much identical, though there may be a *slight* difference in hue. I'm not sure whether this is due to normal aging (OR/2010 was from the Goodwill, so I don't know what she went through prior to my getting her) but I think the difference is just that.

So all in all, if you want both versions, that's what you're looking at. The new Rainbow Power RD is also a shade darker blue than the original, but again, this may be due to normal exposure to daily living, oxidation, and fading. Hope this was helpful

Oh, thanks for the comparison. I like the brighter hair colours on the new RD. I'm kind of surprised the she has a bigger/larger head mold though; didn't the discorded fakies and RP Fluttershy have smaller heads/bodies compared to the originals?

id hazard that the new dashes hair colours are
Cherry pie, fire bird , electric banana and  envy,   not sure about the tail colors tho

It is, very much so! I really rather like her, though I'm not keen on the plastic clothing...Pinkie pie's weiner dog hat is absolutely adorable, though, but i already have SO many FS Pinkies...maybe if someone picks one up for customizing I might get the accessories from the RD also comes with leg warmers above her skates, they're different colors, which bothers me a bit...maybe an excuse to buy another and just match them up for 2 sets!

I took a look at the Discorded RD and the other two...her heaad and body are definately smaller, and she's made in the Pinkie pie "one front leg slightly forward" pose, as are all the Discorded mane 6. Both genuine Hasbro RD's have feet placed exactly side by side and though their heads may be *slightly* different, their bodies and wings appear to be the same size.
Side note...I've washed RP RD's hair and rinsed it 3 times, but the red streak still has a greasy, "forgot to rinse the conditioner out" look and feel to it. It's odd :/
