What do you do with loose hairs?
« on: July 01, 2014, 10:59:03 AM »
When I talk about 'loose hair', I mean this. Sorry, I can't bring any pony examples today because I only have bald baits and a crazy-haired custom, so here's Tiffany.

As you see, she's got a few hairs out of place and I'm not sure what to do with them. I've seen amazing pony pictures with any single hair out of its place. How do you do that? Do you trim those loose hairs, use any product...? It happens with all my brushable toys (and maybe was one of the reasons I never had a brushable in my childhood)

Hair like that just needs a little taming; gentle brushing with a metal wide tooth comb or even a hot water dip and brush down in order to set the hair in place. All will be well after that. :)
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

If you get the hair wet and then style it, that should help.  Also pouring boiling water over the hair when it's in curlers or whatever will help keep it in place after you take the curlers out.  I like to clean the hair with baby shampoo and then condition it with Garnier Fructis conditioner (smells so yummy!) and that helps make the hair more manageable and cut down on frizz.  If the hair is really bad I will leave the conditioner in over night to tame the frizz.  Just make sure you rinse all the conditioner out otherwise the hair will feel greasy.

Sometimes I use leave in conditioner, then wrap in toilet paper. Most of the time I use a small curling iron to quickly get control of those wild hairs.
