Help Identify Marks.....

Soooo...I just recently got my awesome QB but I am kind of new to pony clean up and such and I was wondering if someone can tell me what these marks are. They don't look like cancer to me......they are just tiny black dots. Not sure if they are pen or dirt or what?? Could you guys please tell me what you think they are and if/what I can do to get rid of them.

Thanks in advance :)

Yep, those are one form of age marks/cancer.  You can sometimes lighten the spot with a bit of acetone/nail polish remover but sometimes the spot stays even after sunfading.  It's super common with the Big Brother ponies though!

Thanks for the info. Darn you pony cancer!!!!!! :( It just looked so random I didn't know what it was....looks like someone poked him with a pen...oh well... at least it isn't the ugly brown spotted ones....I hope it doesn't get much worse but they don't bother me too much. I still love him :)

Here is a pic from his good side! He is so handsome!

He is super handsome! Unfortunately one of those pones incredibly prone to cancer. I agree that is what those marks look like but hopefully it wont develop elsewhere on him.

Out of curiosity....would this be considered pin dot??? Or is this just cancer?? Or are they the same thing?   I'm having trouble telling the difference between the different pony conditions.

On Quarterback...those look like age marks/cancer unfortunately. Or at least the one under his eye does. However I will admit its 100% hard to tell from the image they genuinely could be marks made by a pen. Have you tried any kind of treatment with them?

No I haven't tried anything yet....I have been meaning to get a magic eraser to see if that works on the one lower dot.......I have read about dabbing acetone (?) on the spots....I don't know where to buy it though?? Any suggestions would be helpful

Acetone you can get in the nail polish remover aisle of your grocer. Go for one that's clear. And use a cu-tip. If the one under the lip turns out to be pen then it'll come right off. As will any paint you get this on, so carefuls. But the under-eye one is likely cancer from what I can see.

Thanks for the info!! I will have to try it out. Do you rinse it off after you put it on or just leave it?

Pure acetone dries extremely quickly. If you're worried about a possible film left over you can wipe the swiped area with a damp tissue. ^.^
