butterscotch question
« on: June 30, 2014, 05:03:46 PM »
I have a butterscotch that has an orange body.. Is this normal for the UK version or  could this be a dye issue? She also has some factory error hair issues going on

She is darker :) We need a Butterscotch expert since there were quite a few different releases of her ^.^

I must add that mine looks identical ;)

She looks like any I've had through my hands! (admittedly, not a huge number) What colour would you consider her normally?

The Indian Butterscotch you own is much paler than regular Butterscotch :)

She is not the normal butterscotch color. She is a light orange. Hard to photograph it.
I wish I had a normal butterscotch for comparison.

Mm I'll try taking her out in the sun for natural lighting. Maybe the uk versions are a different color than the US versions. Ours were a definite dingy yellow

Trying to photograph colour difference is so difficult :(

Natural light may help though and compairing her to some other ponies will be useful too :)

My Butterscotches are more on the burnt yellow/orange side with their body color. Their hair is also copper in color. Maybe she was packed away someplace and didn't get the sun or oxidation exposure that many of them got? She looks pretty pristine!

There is not really a body colour difference in the UK versions - its the symbols which are more of an orange tone in comparison to the US symbols which tell them apart. Although thats only in one release of the Gymkhana - one gets a Butterscotch which is pretty much like for like but the later release of the set got a Butterscotch with different coloured symbols.

The mail order version is a little richer in body colour but not majorly enough that you could call her orange. I would be curious to see her compared with a regular Butterscotch.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
