For books I loved the Baby-Sitters Club series (currently working on collecting them all), Watership Down, Jim Jump and Bunny Button, and one I loved at my doc's office was Angus and The Cat (still need to see about tracking down a copy of that).

For movies - most things Disney, The Last Unicorn, Land Before Time, anything MLP. Also grew up on Star Trek.

@Sundown Is Yoko about the women, John Lennon's wife?
No. :) It's about a little cat girl who is made fun of for being different from her classmates, and they eventually accept her for who she is.

My favorite movie was The Last Unicorn. I would beg my Mom to take me to the library so that we could borrow it...
To this day I don't know why she didn't just buy it for me- that and Serendipity (FINALLY found that one last month). But then again at 4 years old I started recording Care Bears on blank VHS tapes. That may have been enough for her, lol (neither of my parents are big TV fans).

My favorite childhood book was Bony Legs.......I don't know if it was popular but it was about a witch who lived in the woods in a house that stood on chicken feet. When I got older I really liked Dear America books and Little House on the Prairie.

I liked lots of different movies but I remember being really obsessed with Pebble and the Penguin for awhile. I would watch it everyday when I got home from school....

My favorite childhood cartoon (well, one of many) was Banjo the Woodpile Cat. Great songs! I was thrilled when it was finally put on DVD in 2009. I was actually the first person to buy a copy on Amazon and leave feedback for the seller. (It was the director, Don Bluth, who sold it on the Amazon Marketplace.)

I liked a lot of book series as a child/teen: Ramona, Henry Huggins, Sweet Valley Twins, Sweet Valley High, Sweet Valley University, and The Baby-Sitters Club.
Sweet Valley High is the series I read the longest and was my most favorite.

I'm having trouble pinning down my favourite childhood book, because I read and loved so many! However my auntie bought me all of the books in A Series of Unfortunate Events as they came out, and I had so much fun looking forward to the next one (the author leaves little cryptic teasers in the back of the book). Unfortunately, Mum and Dad "put away" my books when I was younger, because I "wasn't looking after my bookshelf properly" (I had all sorts of little treasures that I used to decorate my bookshelf with. It was a very special place.) Most of the earlier novels are in there, and I've never found out where all those books went. Individual books have turned up, but I'm still missing a great amount of them!

My favourite childhood movie was without a doubt The Lion King. I loved it. I loved it so much I wore the tape out and my auntie bought me a purring Simba plushie who got loved nearly to bits. I loved it so much that I got my Dad to come and watch it with me in the cinemas when it got its 3D rerelease a year or two ago. I loved it so much that earlier this year, I saved up my welfare allowance and bought a giant ceramic Simba and Mufasa cookie jar. I love it so much that, hopefully, I'm going to take my boyfriend to Melbourne next year, and we can watch the musical together.

My favourite were horse books, especially "The Silver Brumby" and the German series "Bille und Zottel". And the "Neverending Story".

As a very, very, very young child (we're talking 3-5 years old) my favorite book was Pippi Longstocking. My parents had to read it to me several times a day for years. I knew it by heart, every exact word on every page, and everytime they tried to cheat (being sick of it for so long) I corrected them and told them how it should be.

As of that I was a very early reader and joined a book club for young teens already when I was six years old. My favorite book from there was Adrift, Lost girls by Linda Williams Aber. It's about six girls who were to sail for two weeks in the Bahamas but got shipwrecked after a storm and struggled to survive on a deserted island. It was my very favorite until I turned 11 and my brother tricked me into reading the Belgariad by David Eddings which became my new favorite for the coming four years.

Favorite movie is rather easy. Whenever we came to the video rental and it was my turn to pick a movie I chose My Little Pony in Dreamland

I can sympathize with those that LOVED The Last Unicorn. Between the ages of 2-4, when my parents were still together, we rented the tape so much they found a way to make an illegal copy!

Banjo the Woodpile Cat was wonderful! I searched for the name of it for years as a teenager, all I could remember is the 3 dancing cats that were different colors and very sparkly, and the beginning where the twin kittens jump off the roof! I loved that. :) very nostalgic for me.

I'm with everyone else on The Last Unicorn.  We rented it so much we should have just bought a copy.  I know certain VHS tapes back then were super expensive, but we rented it at least once a week, I was obsessed.  Poochie also made it home with me pretty frequently.  I would read absolutely anything as a kid, Archie comics, the Little House books, Sweet Valley Twins, and Baby Sitters Club stick out as the favorites though.

My favorite book was Sleeping Beauty. I had my mom read it to me so much that I had it memorized. And my favorite movie was The Last Unicorn. I didn't own it but my grandma did and she played it every time my sister and I came for a visit.
