Help me think up alternative names for G1 Family Fathers!

OK I have names for the brothers, now for the Dads.  Yes I caved I'm getting the Dads too    Daddy Bright Bouquet is arrivign in the next few days!  Would really appreciate your help if you have any more suggestions!

Daddy Sweet Celebrations - Preston (As in presents...thank you Rachel-Eyes!!)
Daddy Bright Bouquet - Blueheart (reminds me of lionheart... thank you Raindrop!!)
Daddy Apple Delight - Bramley (My suggestion)

Hi Ladies,

I am playing about with what to include in my collection and I bought some boys recently:

Baby Lucky
Baby Brother Sweet Celebrations
Baby Brother Bright Bouquet
Baby Brother Apple Delight

See what I mean with the names?

I think the 3 family brothers need to have snappier names to be included in my herd especially since I won't be matching them up to include the other members of their nuclear families. Apple Delight and Bright Bouquet will have their sisters however.

Here are the ideas so far...
Baby Brother Sweet Celebrations - Sweet William... doesn't really fit the party theme (my friend calls hers 'Prezzie' but I'm not a fan) or Preston (Thank you Rachel!) Banquet Surprise (thank you Spotted Slug!)

Baby Brother Bright Bouquet - Brian Brightly... apparently Briar is a boy's name, Briar Blossom? (Thank you Hathorcat!) or Baby Basil (Thanks Rachel!), Jared Heart (thank you Hathorcat!), Baby Toadflax (thank you Spotted Slug!)

Baby Brother Apple Delight - Little Pippin or Appleby (thank you Namine!) Jazz Apple (thank you Spotted Slug!)

Great I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm finding it really tricky. I put some more ideas in the OP but I'm still not convinced by any of them

Here is a list of G4 Apple Jack's family  Apple Fritter, Apple Bumpkin, Red Gala, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche, Apple Cinnamon Crisp, Big McIntosh, Apple Bloom, and Granny Smith. Apple Cobbler, Apple Honey, Apple Pie, Gala Appleby, Lavender Fritter, Peachy Sweet. G3 names are..  Apple Spice, Golden Delicious,

My favorite boy is Daddy Sweet Celebrations, but I call mine Preston because it sounds so much like presents. Maybe that will work for his boy too? (I don't have the rest of his family because I'm honestly not crazy about them... mine is married to Merry Treats. )

I also have a candy apple red fakie with a granny smith symbol that I call Spiced Cider. That could work for the baby apple.

You can call the flower baby Basil. I'm growing some in my garden right now.

Its old fashioned but Briar was used as a boys name in years gone by as well. Its only now its more common for girls. The same with Saffron or Indigo used for girls but really unisex names. Although you could go with Jarrod...I vaguely remember being told as well as its biblical meaning it also means flower or rose in Hebrew. I now think you should call him "Jarrod Heart" - ROFL he sounds like a rock star!!!!!!!

What an excellent idea! I really like Appleby - what do you guys think? Although Gala Appleby is a girl she is also pink and yellow like our boy.

You're right he is gorgeous! I think if I got him in a lot I would definitely keep him, I'm just so short of space he's not on my wish list at the mo. I think he and Merry Treats must be a gorgeous couple! Do you have any pics? Thanks so much for your suggestions!

I am seriously thinking of naming my blank baby Embers with alternative names as well, there are too many baby Embers for me (5 in total is it?). If I do I'll definitely call the blue one Indigo (after the dye) I love that name, never really thought about it before.

Jarrod is reminding me too much of the scary films thread lol. I think Jarrod will be forever associated with David Bowie's character in the Labyrinth for me and let's face it there is something very unsavoury about him! It's a cool idea though and we are all about ponies and rock music leading up to UK Ponycon :happydance:

I just think they look so great together. The present symbols are just too perfect for a Christmas-themed couple!

The only thing is, I think I would feel a little bad if I ended up getting the rest of the Sweet Celebrations because they are supposed to be a family. I guess I can justify it though by saying that MSC is actually his sister and the babies are his niece and nephew. They look enough alike to be related.

I really love how their colours work together - I didn't realise the green in their manes would be the same colour and they both have pale eyes. Lovely.


I'm gonna go with Presley for Baby Brother Sweet Celebrations. I'll save Preston in case I ever get his Dad.
 
Appleby for Baby Brother Apple Delight - there is a gypsy fair in the UK called Appleby fair I just googled it and lots of pics of hot young boys riding bareback on horses lol and girls in lycra with fake tan. Horse lovers look here: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/dogislove/3676945239/

Brightly for Baby Brother Bright Bouquet since I like Brights Brightly she's on my G3 wishlist and I think it's a cool name.

Lucky stays as Lucky for me.

Now their names all end in a 'y' which I kinda like. They could all be construed as girl's names however there are lots of boy's names that end in y or ie such as Charlie, Harry, Dudley, Sydney etc. So yeh I think I'm decided!
