Non-MLPs that lurk in the shadows - Mattel Kitties, Fairy Tail Birds . . .

I love G1 MLPs but I really kinda hate getting the non-MLPs that often come along with large lots.  They give me the creeps (sorry to those that love them!). I recently got a lot with some Mattel Little Pretty Kitties, one or two Fairy Tail Birds, and two of those awful Kudlee Ponee cases. If you've never seen those cases, click here and scroll down:

I really just want to send this stuff to Goodwill. Is that okay? Or is there a market for these things? Just in case anyone is interested, the Fairy Tail bird is orange w/ orange and yellow hair--not sure about the other items. I left them at my mother's house.

Bite your tongue, there are many of us who collect and love Fairy Tail Birds and if in good shape can run between a few dollars to around $10.

Yes, there are collectors of those items, and some of them are on this board.  You could try to post them up here if you wanted to try to get a little something before you end up donating.  Maybe trade for something you want, or sell them.  You might get a few nibbles if the price is right.  Or if you just want to get them out of your house, you could offer them up for free if the other person pays for shipping.  Otherwise donating them is fine.  You might make some local collector very happy:p

There is definitely a market for those. I'm on a buying hiatus currently but if I wasn't I would actually be interested. They are vintage and should not be sent back to goodwill where they might be picked up by a destructive child or worse a kid with a parent that tosses toys in the trash instead of donating or selling when the kid is "too old" for it.

Thanks for all the kind input!  I plan to take some pics of the kitties, birdies, etc., when I see them again later this summer.  I'm glad to know there are some potential homes for them!

Oh, definitely.

As a note, most vintage toys can be found a home..as most are fairly collectable.

I just blew about $30 on some of them on eBay. So yes, people do indeed purchase them. I haven't bought any for a while. Been funding my non-pony collections moreso lately.
