About Glitter Symbols

I'm appealing to all the restorers and customizers in the forums. What products do you use to restore glitter symbols? I have a couple of girls who have really horrible glitter rub on their symbols. Doesn't make me love them any less, but I'd like to learn to do the symbols and rehair. It'd give me a wider range of getting ponies because I could restore them.

Any help or point in a direction to find out more, would be much appreciated.

I like to find very, very fine glitter and mix in a good amount into some Mod Podge. And the smaller the paintbrush you use, the better. I'm afraid I don't have close ups, but here are my restored Sunbeam and Moondancer:

Take note: On Moondancer, only the moon is redone. The stars are original but on Sunbeam the whole symbols were redone.

Apply metallic paint as a base, as it's drying apply fine matching scrapbooking glitter...

Recently restored these two, Starshine had some symbol left, but Medley was bare...
