Rainfeather I also have epilepsy and it has caused some amazing "uh oh" moments for me. Thankfull I've never been seriously hurt.

When I was fourteen I walked into my house from the garage. Had my cat Casper in my arms. His tail was about to get caught in the door that lead from the garage to the house. So I put my hand back and moved his tail. Only to catch the first three fingers of my left hand! As the wind blew the door shut! Casper bailed out of my arms into the living room. My parents, who where sitting on the couch watching TV; asked if I was all right. Think I said "sure, maybe" because my epilepsy was about to kick in. Took three steps towards my parents. There was tile floor and a three foot drop into the living room (sunken living room). Don't remember but my Mom jumped up and ran to me, catching me before I fell over.

Next thing I remember was waking up on the couch, covered in a blanket and blathering away about a history test. My fingers where badly bruised but not broken. I'd had a grand mal and took two days to recover from that. However almost right after waking up I was starving! So I demolished a whole box of Ritz crackers and half a roasting chicken (that was our dinner). Before folding back up on the couch and sleeping till the next morning.

Non epilepsy related. Tonight as I was leaving my BFFs house, I tripped over one of her sneakers in the mud room. And almost face planted against the wall. Somehow managing to turn on the outside lights in the process. We had a good laugh over it and I got "you all right"? Yep fine just forgot how to walk. :P

That sounds all too familliar (except the plundering and pillaging of the fridge, I can't eat afterwards because I'm sick of the blood I swallowed)!

Okay.. I hope this is not too gross for a website with children... but I guess everyone pees..

A month ago I was at a bar, I wanted to order a last drink with my last bill of 5 euro. But then I realised I had to go to the toilet, I decided to do that first.
So I grabbed some toilet paper and sat down to pee. When I was finished I wiped.....with the wrong hand! The one which not had the toilet paper but the 5 euro bill....!!  -_-

It was my last money...so I still ordered a drink with it...

Ouch!!  I have injured myself in the kitchen more times than I'd like to admit.

The latest faux pas was taking a glass out of the cupboard and pouring myself a nice, refreshing drink.  I turned up the pitcher and started pouring into the glass... errr... all over the floor!  We store our glasses upside-down in the cupboard and I tried pouring my drink in from the bottom.  Spoiler alert: it didn't work.

Guess I should pay more attention.

And this is exactly why being a bartender and server sucks.  Because who knows where the cash comes from for our tips and sales, cash I take home at the end of the night.  So.gross.  This is also why I disinfect my hands a billion times a shift.  Some guy wanted to shake my hand because apparently he's never had a server who managed to get everything they wanted during a meal and not screw up, and I had to immediately go scrub my hands because it smelled of. . .well, bathroom, to put it lightly. . .   ><

Thanks, Rainfeather, I'm going to go lysol all of my tips for the week so far.

hahahaha sorry....

You shouldn't come work where I work then... unless you like to be smeared with poo, drool, snot and vomit.

I remember another 'omg it's one of THOSE days' from work. Sorry, again gross.

I had to change a fully grown adult with a mental disability. He also was spastic. Never had any problems because he was very easy-going and a light weight.

So. In the morning I, as usual, woke him up and changed him. He had diarhea. At the moment when I shoved the diaper from beneath him, he had a spastic movement. He hit is hand RIGHT in the diaper, and I got showered in poo. It was in my face, my clothes...and I still had to complete the 7,5 hours of the 8 hour shift...with those clothes..

You feel better now?  :P

I'm always burning myself at work! I was covering one of the chefs af work while they had a break,  because we were so busy back there but not on coffee where I had been, and he'd had some pastries on that finished baking while I was there, so I took them out to the display,  and as I was putting them in, I was getting them from the end of the baking tray that wasn't hanging over the small ledge that they were sitting on. And so obviously they toppled as the weight changed,  and I saw them going and well, caught the tray- in my bare hand! I'd just temp - checked the food at 100 degrees celsius, so you can imagine that tray was pretty hot! No damage though, my skin is pretty tough from all the water burns that come with being a barista.

Another bad one that did leave a scar was a sleepwalking episode when I tried to make tea. Ouch!
