* Last year's SDCC Funko My Little Pony "exclusive" was a clear/sparkly version of Pony and of Rainbow Dash- that looked like this: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-40wQ3d8fsBk/UcEMwFWgh0I/AAAAAAAAEok/Cc_6-C1mZV4/w695-h638-no/P1020049.JPGAmazon had them available for a while as an "amazon exclusive." I have to assume that the exclusive was shared between Amazon and Funko - since they were also at the SDCC. As you can see- the sticker on the boxes says "1008 piece limited" "SDCC 2013 FUNKO exclusive"Our question is this: were the clear Pony and Rainbow Dash ponies ONLY released as SDCC exclusives, limited to a 1008 edition?Or was there any other release of the clear Rainbow and Pony ponies? Seems like a stupid question, but there is quite a lot of debate as to whether Funko went ahead and released more "editions" after the first limited edition of these "limited edition" ponies. Any clarification you can provide, if you know, would be truly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Thanks Anne- so the edition size (for each) was actually limited to 1008 than?
Yes Best Regards,
hey guys i just had a thought.. i was really thinking about it and a earlyer question got me to thinking..What if its in the style of the "kiss" ponys? the fan favorites set for Toys R Us? those cna be cosndierd "dark" right?
Yay! Thank you to Funko for being kind enough to answer and for actually doing what they promised Soooo reassuring in this world of commercialisation. I stand corrected. I guess it really just is that they are surprisingly unpopular after all? Hopefully over months and years that makes it easier for people to track down the sparkle versions of the other releases as well.
Plus...I daresay the appeal of a "chase" figure goes down when it's just there a click away, rather than having to seek them out.
I'm very glad someone from funko got back to you. They are great and very responsive to their fans/community. I know we are still wondering what the ponies will look like but since there were so many 'leftover' from last year what will this years edition size be? The exclusives in years past were much lower. With the largest edition number being 480. Last year was the first year that some exclusives were 1008 editions. A lot of the 1008 items are still floating around at retail or less.
Since Funko is kind enough to answer questions, can we ask them for this year exclusive?no? Pretty please. The waiting is killing me....

So it was across their SDCC exclusives that large numbers struggled on? Out of curiosity was it most of them or did some fandom items sell like hotcakes?
