Please ... Help with recreating a hair style

I recently got the customizing bug and was wondering if I could ask for some tips and advice on how to recreating a certain hair style on one of those blank G3s from Mattel.

I'm a girl of the 80's and my brother and I grew up watching all kinds of things, including WWF wrestling.  When the Ultimate Warrior passed away just recently, I was inspired to try to make a pony with his colors.  I have the paints, hair, tools and have already taken the mane and tail out of the blank pony.  Any tips on how I could make the hair look like Warriors?

This is going to be for a friend of mine who works in the WWE industry.  She was really broken up by his death.   Worked with him and his family.

I've rehaired two ponies so far, a g4 Boy (cuz Troll hair sucks!) and one g4 girl. But these were simple long straight hair.. not 80's teased wild man mane..

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
