Was it a good deal?
« on: April 02, 2014, 09:50:02 AM »
I got G1 Bright Night and Morning Glory (without wings), G2 Magic Star Swirl, and a Fairytale bird for $30, shipping included. They were all pretty dirty but cleaned up really well. I bought the lot mostly for Magic Star Swirl. Did I overpay? How hard is Magic Star Swirl to find? Her hair is a little cut, but not much.

Here's a pic of her:

I also got her ring and two other accessories. Are they from mlp?

I think you did very well, considering that price included shipping! Star Swirl is lovely and she cleaned up very nicely...I think she typically goes a little higher than the other G2's and I've seen her sell (even slightly flawed) for between $8-$15 just for her, so yeah...nice score!

I'd call it a good deal. Star Swirl is gorgeous.

Oh god. I think I'm slowly falling in love with G2s. I blame my Her Majesty Great Romance.

Either way, if you're happy, than it's a good deal.

Aw man, that little purple flower barette/clippy just hit me with a wave of nostalgia.  I had a set of those when I was little, but I think they came from Icing or a similar company at Target/Walmart.  So unless someone else recognizes it as belonging to a pony, I can say it looks an awful lot like a regular girl's hair clip from the G2 era.   :)

...Though now that I'm thinking about it, it would be hilarious if a hair clip company just ripped off an MLP accessory.  A fakie of the accessory world!

There are quite a few fakie accessories out there :) Some are from other Hasbro lines [so not technically fake] and others are from non Hasbro brands!

Oh wow that's blowing my mind right now.  Though if all those fakie ponies have been alive and well, I suppose I shouldn't be so surprised to hear that some companies have "re-appropriated" little accessories originally meant for plastic ponies!
