Psychics?

Today my partner and I saw a sign for a palmist medium and me being me quickly went to her shop. She was dead on about everything she told me. I was curious who believes in psychics?

I think it's a special gift for few people. Not everyone has it...there are even some that think they are and they're not.

Well seeing as my oldest brother is a medium, I'm kinda required to believe in them .

I believe that there are people who can tap into it. But, I also believe that most are scams.

I think it is a gift, but it's a gift that entails being able to read a person's words so you can sort of tell them what they want to hear based on tone of voice. What I'm saying is that I don't think anyone has the power to look into the future or past, but they have a knack for gleaning insight about you based on what you tell them and how you tell them. Not knocking anyone who believes in them, though.

I think maybe that's not really the case for every medium.

Its really weird 'believing' they are accurate but ive seen it first hand...with both my moms fried who did a quic tarot card reading on me (my sister and I pulled the same cared...and it was the motherly one which nailed me down completely)--and my mom.

Mom isn't really a 'psychic' but she has a 6th sence.  If she dreams about something or gets a feeling off of someone, its 100% always without a doubt right.

She saw 911 happen the night before it happened--and that's only 1 example.

Not something I believe in personally. Although my mum does and in quite a big way. So while I respect other people's beliefs, any experience I have had in the past with them has been poor and never swayed me into believing.

I listen to a podcast called Calling Out, you should listen, its all about psychics and they do readings. Lisa Williams is my fav she seems legit

Most just fish for snippets of information that they can embellish upon, using body language and facial expressions more than psychic ability to gauge when you're receptive. Up until a few years ago I was very sceptical about any of it.

Then I met a girl called Veronica, funnily enough on a date that didn't really work but we became really good friends instead. Early on she told me about her psychic abilities, mainly tarot cards and psychometry (readings from sentimental objects), and offered to read for me for free as practice. I agreed just for a laugh more than anything. Bearing in mind this person knew next-to-nothing about my past since I wanted to forget a large chunk of it if possible, so I hadn't talked about anything either, she was scarily accurate with names and details about people she had never met and I had never mentioned 

She also predicted I'd meet someone soon, it would all happen very quickly when I did, and gave some indication about what profession they would be in. Yeah yeah I thought  Months later I met my other half Clare, it DID all happen very quickly , and the profession was accurate even though it was out-of-the-ordinary for a girl - an aircraft engineer

I still stand by my opening statement - most are just confidence tricksters out to make money out of vulnerable people. But a very few do have a gift to see things that the rest of us can't

I don't believe any of it. To be honest i'm not too big on the concept of belief anyway. That said, I do like to try stuff out, and I did try some readings and apart from some very general stuff (like "You desire to be happy." - oh, really?) they didn't really come up with anything But I think it's all down to how hard you try to fit yourself into a concept. I know that when I read things about my zodiacs, i always feel like it's describing exactly me

That's how I feel to. I'm certain that there are people who have the gift, however I feel that the majority of them are more likely scammers that are just good at reading your cues.
