I want a crew with main character Bolian and Andorians. That is my wish.

I think a funny think about Trek is every series had a whipping boy. That is, the character that took the most abuse for whatever reason. There's even tropes about like in TOS, it's not serious until Checkov screams. In DS9, O'Brien must suffer.  In Voyager,  it was Harry Kim, and in TNG it was Geordi.

And of course, a TOS classic....

XD
I fully admit the red shirt thing was, pretty bad at times.
And poor Chekov, even in the movies he wasn't safe. Something about Khan and a brain insect and all.

XD  How many times did Harry actually die?

I think, basically, what we can take away from all those poor nameless dead redshirts is that if you're going to go on an away mission, you need to be surgically grafted to someone higher up the chain of command first.

I think only twice... one the alternate Kim was blown out into space in the alternate Voyager, and another when he "died" and was "buried" on that planet of bodies. But he was tortured a lot!
