How to clean a pony
« on: March 18, 2014, 05:14:49 PM »
I started to clean my pony secret surprise and I noticed that she has a brown layer on the body, like if she was dirty, grimy. I tried to clean with soap and water but it didn´t work. Is there anything I can do?

Sounds like pindot, which is removable but requires a bit more effort.

It largely depends what is causing the staining. I always find baby wipes or dish soap are great at cutting through a lot of surface dirt and grime on plastic. Any kitchen/bathroom surface cleaner on a damp cloth is also pretty good. And of course if none of those work then a magic eraser is usually pretty effective.

If the problem is in the pores of the plastic rather than on the surface then you will need to heat the pony in very hot water and properly scrub using a blunt flat edge [the side of a butter knife or similar] in order to get the dirt to come out.

If you can take pictures and show us that may help a little more to identify the problem for you.

Hmmm...it could be ageing marks unfortunately. However its certainly not pin dot. Try the baby wipes, kitchen cleaner and magic eraser methods and see how you get on :) Let us know!
