About UK comics and G1 Tales animation models

Hi! I wanted to be random tonight and talk about some things!

It started with what I won today, and hope it arrives soon!

But first the UK comics.

Is there anyone with all the Tales comics?  Because I want to know of MLP & Friends #51 was the last comic for that run. That's the highest I have of them and wanted to make sure my numbers were accurate.

With that, anyone have all the regular MLP comic run or all of the MLP & Friends run? Or does anyone have ALL THE COMICS? With the specials and such?

So if #51 of the MLP n Friends is the last one... I think I need about 19 more to have 'them all' o.O Er forgot, it would be about 21 because two of mine have a page or two missing and I forgot to get back with the seller (maybe it was Lancer?) to see if I could have their copy of the comic scanned so I could have those missing pages.  I've got to go thru my comics again to make sure that's the right about missing...

Anyway, that was the comics part.

Next is being happy I got the MLP Tales model and background sheets! Happy to get more animation stuff to go with my Guide and other model and background sheets for the first show! And the press kits for the movie and Escape From Catrina.  LOVE THE ANIMATION PRODUCTION STUFF!

I know most of this could go into the Brag Arena but most of it is filled with questions ^^""


OOH the question I was thinking about with the animation stuff... would anyone buy like canvas wall scroll things of the animation stuff? It was some idea my sister put into my head and been pondering over it for awhile...

Actually, I don't think they went past 51. And even if they did, I'm guessing a 52 or up might be impossibly rare.

I know I really can't give such information about this problem (my highest And Friends comic is 46) but possibly, could you give some information from your copy of And Friends 51 so that I can figure it out?

(What I mean is any odd-looking 'Coming next time' adverts or any signs of a 52 or that they were stopping with this issue?)

I think there are a lot of us with almost finished comic collections and no doubt a couple of people with complete sets Discounting that there are a few I would like upgrades for, I think I am 30ish short on the main series and 12 or so on the &Friends set. However I will admit to not really looking as actively as I would like in the last 12 months or so.

51 is the highest of the &Friends series I believe yes

Congrats on the model and background sheets! That is an awesome addition to your collection - I hope you perhaps consider sharing pictures with us

Lucky.  And I'm still waiting to see the Wind Whistler and Fizzy stuff from the original series' writer's guide.

I don't quite have a complete set either... I need 17 of the main comics, and 11 of the Friends. I haven't been as vigilant in hunting them out recently either, but I will get there one day! And then there's free gifts to get too.I also have the newsagents order form, which has a mini-comic itself, and that is one of my favourite items

Yeah that free gift stuff...I only have a few of those, which when I last looked at them, so badly wanted the early stuff because I think some of it had the sleeping Surprise from the top of the early magazines

Glad I got #51 then! Lately I've been all over the place checking comics/magazines on ebay...and wishing I lived in the UK to get some of them...

Newsagents order form? What is that? Not sure if I saw something like that before o.O

It's literally the form you would give your newsagent to reserve/order a copy of the magazine. I may have used it myself as we had a folder at WH Smiths (the number was 237 or 239) and I got the MLP comic. I think I lucked out on getting it on ebay a few years back, and I've never seen it again. Here's a picture of it:

That renewal form is entertainment in and of itself.

That's great! I think I saw something like it in one of the comics but maybe no order form and just the comic part...  Hated seeing those things in the comics, who would want to destroy their comics to send in a form you cut from the magazine O.O Had to replace one of my comics because of that
