I guess for some reason retailers just did not buy into it. Although I wonder if it was designed as an online item right from the start. The box design is so different from all other traditional MLP products - I cant think of many store released ponies you could not actually see from outside the packaging - even most of the latter generation big playsets had a little window normally.

I didn't realize these were only going to be available for such a limited time. I was waiting till I had some extra money to get them. I really hope Silver Spoon and Twist are rereleased in another set. Come on Hasbro you love rereleasing the same ponies over and over again!
