Lemondrop question please

So who's who when it comes to Lemondrop??

Just picked up an extra and she has some key differences to my current herd girl who I *might* upgrade, so I'm just trying to work out who might be the mail order version (as I think one of them is?) and who to keep.

One is yellower in colour, and has the drops darker in colour and similar to this pic on mylittlewiki: http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/File:LemonDropSymbol.jpg  All four hooves are marked -Hasbro82-patpend-madein-hongkong-   Her tail also seems longer than my other girl who....

...only has two hooves marked -hasbro 82 pat pend- all on one hoof and -HK- on the other. She is also paler in colour and her drops are rounder without the thinner ends (and more faded). Is this latter one the mail order?

Neither (remarkably) have cancer, though each do have a couple of what appear to be regrind marks. I'm thinking of keeping the first one, but what do you think?

Just picked up this lovely lady at a thrift store over the weekend, definitely watching this thread to find out the differences in Lemon Drops.

The easiest way to tell is the slightly softer eye on her in comparison to her regular releases. She also has a lighter dark grey eyeliner as opposed to the black eyeliner of earlier releases.

Aha! I've just read over that and that was really helpful - thank you!! How odd - I seriously thought the second pony I described was the mail order as her overall quality seemed poorer and her hair was a different texture! I've decided to keep the first one I described (who would be the mail order one it seems)    I like her drops, and darker hair and body more

Both of these ladies are stamped under 4 feet; I used to believe the pale drops one is the MO pony. I have posted in a number of threads about the MO/playset 4-stamper issue and always get an answer along these lines. I'm not saying the community necessarily got it right, though... I haven't examined a good sample of MIP ones with my own eyes after all. This is the first time I'm told to look at the eyes.

Leikin's page is a nice first resource, but incomplete and has some errors. I should get my own (eternally WIP) list back online some day There are just too many 2-stampers, I'm probably not even beginning to figure them out and much less able to tell from your description which one you are talking about, but the MO pony seems to have been a 4-stamper.

Sorry, this is one of the days when the abundance of existing Lemon Drops frustrates me.
