Half of the cost most likely came from the Fashion Style Applejack.

The retail price of those other MIB Fashion Style ponies in store (at least to my knowledge) is about $14.00-$15.00.  Add those and the loose ones AND the accessories, and it's easily understandable that someone bid that high.

it says it Sold for 1000,  but yes I agree  AJ and Bubbles will be around 400 to 600 just on the 2 of them
loose ponies with their accessories will be around 100 , DJpon3 is around 50- 60 and the other 9 of the MIB are  from 20 to 40 dllrs
so it is about the ongoing price for all of  them.
I saw it before and it was 3000  for them but they also had a loose Pony and  AJ  on the lot.
then I guess the sold them and price got  reduced to 1500 but was open for offers, guess the 1000 offer came in and got accepted
it is a good deal for both seller and buyer

Personally I don't think the ponies combine to be "worth" that value. Drama pony is under $100 these days; so the value in the lot is almost all in AJ and she is not a $700 pony. :/

However its a BIN so the seller got what they wanted and the buyer must have been happy to pay it [assuming the sale goes through]. Its worth it to the buyer and as long as they can afford it and they want it that much fair play to both parties

I think this is a nearly complete lot of G4 Fashion Styles. Somebody who's interested in collecting these but didn't get an early start must have appreciated the ability to jump-start their collection with a single purchase!
