Best way to glue rehaired G4 head?
« on: March 04, 2014, 05:17:07 AM »
I just finished re-hairing a G4 head last night using a rehairing tool (actually just a needle I stuck into an Xacto handle...).  I know the next step is to secure the hair with tacky/craft glue.  But, the neck hole is so small and there are so many hair-ends, I'm just not sure what is the best way to make SURE that glue gets to all the plugs.  Does anyone have any pro tips for a beginner, to get the glue into the furthest part of the head?  Is there a brand you can get in a bottle with a super-long tip?   Thank you for any ideas!

Dip a q-tip in the glue and swish it around inside her head :)

I use the tip of the handle on my paintbrush. It doesn't snag on the plugs and can still spread the glue.

I do like I do with my other rehairs/customs.  Take the glue (Fabritac), put the nozzle in, squeeze and wiggle it back and forth so I hope it covers the plugs, then use a q-tip to spread it around and coat everything really well.  I do that for all ponies, from g1-g4.  Haven't lost hair yet!
