Looks off centre to me no idea if this is common or not as i dont no anything about G3.5

It's fairly common for all MLP toys, really, not sure about 3.5 specifically.

Accuracy on a relatively inexpensively manufactured toy is not always great. There will be a guide dent in the pony's mould to show where the tail needs to be punched through but as with any mass market product some times things dont go 100% as planned. I have seen it on all generations so its not specific to G3.5.
