Reattaching Playset Stickers?
« on: January 20, 2014, 09:42:51 AM »
I'm slowly going through and cleaning my ponies and playsets since they've been in storage.  A few of my playsets have stickers that curl up at the edges and some that are completely off.  I'd like to reattach them, but I worry that glue might cause the stickers to bubble, discolor or even yellow over time.  Has anyone tried any glues with success?

Does it matter what plastic they are adhering to?  I ask because one of the stickers that has come off is a napkin/spoon sticker from the Sating Slipper Sweet Shoppe table, and that is clearly a different/more flexible plastic than the playsets, like the Show Stable rug stickers I'd like to reattach.

I seem to remember someone saying that Xylon (?) sticker makers work well! Just put the sticker through one and it'll be good as new :)

There's some suggestions in THIS THREAD including one from my 'other half' on using a glue stick (Pritt Stick over here, may be called something else over there)  to reattach them - seems to have worked so far :)

I use blu-tac - or mounting putty [I think] its called in the US. It allows you to reattach them without worrying about glue seepage or damage. Means you can also remove them if you wished for some reason.

Thanks for all the suggestions.  I hadn't seen the other thread, even though I searched for it  :)  I might try a non-permanent solution like blu tac for now, but the sticker maker seems like it would be perfect once I can justify the expense.
