^ Definitely! I will absolutely post pictures when I'm all done.  I'm going to look at paint swatches today. I'd like to start painting this weekend, but my husband brought up the valid point that with temperatures below freezing I can't open up the windows to let the fumes out.  I don't want to asphyxiate (nailed the spelling on the first try- go me!) myself but I also don't want to stare at this UGLY color any longer.  Maybe I'll start by going to a furniture salvage shop and seeing if I can find a good dresser.  Then I can paint that in the garage and feel like I'm making progress on this project.  Then if we get an Indian Summer I can paint the room.  Yes- Houston I think we have a plan.  :woot:

My pony room has 5 walls with 5 different colours - orange, pink, blue, green and yellow :P I am a loud person in every way possible!

All the colours are not quite pastel but also not super vibrant; all my ponies are on white display shelves so the walls work more to offset there being too much white from the bookcases than actual show off the ponies. I think that's key - I think ponies look great against white colours and pastel shades. However too much of it, can be over powering so its nice to bring in slightly louder or deeper contrasts. You also unfortunately have to remember that white and light shades love to reflect light so if there is daylight coming into the room already you dont want to encourage it to bounce around too much.

I love that idea! One day when I have a pony room I'd like to paint the walls different colors like that. It is just a fun look I think. :D

Pearlized wall paint sound pretty neat too.

Last year we painted our bed room a robins egg blue color, kind of like the country blue but lighter and a tad brighter. Very pretty color with white trim and oak colored floors and bookcase (where my ponies are). I like how the ponies stand out from the wall and bookcase.

My old bedroom had sunflower yellow walls, teal and white furniture, and pink accents. I loved it. Miss that room....

I have rarely ever had anything but white walls in most houses I've lived in, though not by choice! It's a problem as a renter; no painted walls without permission, and you have to be prepared to repaint when moving out. If I could do as I please, I'd paint every room in light, colorful shades, a bit brighter than pastels.

I'm a fan of the color green, so the pale green you mentioned sounds really pretty to me. And green would look good behind the ponies, it would make them look like flowers against a background of leaves!

I went with Snuzzle Grey with pink accents for mine - very little of the walls show, and the ponies themselves are so loud and busy I wanted something simple that would still look nice if/when we need to sell (assuming I won't have time to repaint).

My money would be on light lavender or light blue. As for the lavender, it'd be best to have a pink-ish lavender as oppose to a grey-ish lavender

There are some really cute glittery colors in the Disney line at Walmart! I think a pastel pink or blue, really pale would make your ponies POP!

I have always liked neutral colors, so my whole place is painted  sage green , I call it that, but who knows what is the real name, because I bought this house thinking to keep it as a rental, but I ended up selling my first place and moving into this one LOL
so the previous owners left a 5 gallon paint half full of military green , at first I was just going to paint my fence with it, because I hate for things to be wasted, so I had a lot of neutral left over paint from my first house ,lots of creamy and white paint went into the 5 gallon bucket until it was full :) and this creamy green came out and I have not changed it at all, I had it matched at home depot and they made more for me to retouch here and there when needed, I reused some shelves from an old bookcase that had the screws missing and kept it in the attic for many years, I was up there few months back and brought it down, and decided to put it together, but then I decided to just use the shelves and repaint them , I had leftover paint from the outside color of my place which is sky blue and I repainted the shelves with it.
I can't see much of my walls anymore though lol and the shelves are packed with stuff too, LOL
here is a pic when i was installing my shelf
