I have tried so far: Bleach, acetone, baking soda, toothpaste so far. Will continue trying different things though :)

You can sunfade in the winter as long as they get direct sun. From my experience, if the dark spot washes off, then sunfading fades mildew stains (and yes, frass stains) fairly quickly.

ok found a homemade cleaner recipie online and tried it out. Took my long haired AJ which had a good size brown stain on her NDS shoulder, and after some good scrubbing and hot water and the cleaner, I got it down to two smallish dots...wish I would have taken before and after photos...

Anywho I am going to try to work on the others at a later date, I gotta work tomorrow and it is getting late for me here...

Oh the cleaner was equal parts salt and Baking Soda with enough dish soap to make a paste...

Whaaaat. This thread has been...enlightening, wow. When my brother and cousins and I were kids, we'd make swords and circlets and stuff out of tinfoil and play out adventures with them at our grandmother's house, and then she'd throw them away and say that flies had pooped on them and ruined them. I always thought she was fibbing because she didn't want the clutter--I never knew insect poop was an actual concern! o.o
