Taking Ponies to the Fleamarket

Hii,

I wondered, if you have a stand at the fleamarket, do you bring Ponies?
I'm going with my mom this sunday, and I just wrapped up some Ponies in cellophane with a price tag, now I'm kind of unsure if I even want to bring them onto our stand. I don't want people to see the prices on the Ponies and be like; OH! I HAVE THOSE TOO! and then sell them for the same price I am    It's not that I'm that expensive or anything, but you know, for toys, it kind of is.

I don't think you should worry about it that much, I went to a local flea market where a lady asked €5 for a Tootsie without a tale, and it wasn't even a special one :p..

Just do what you feel right, you've been putting so much effort into your collecting, you deserve something back!

The only thing is you will probably not get collector prices at a flea market. Most people go to such locations in expectation of a bargain. However you should price them at what you want for them - you dont need to justify it to anyone. And at the end of the day even if they dont sell you get to take them all home again

I only take Fakies to the flea and try to sell the orginal ponies to collectors =)

I would love to sell them to collectors, but shipping from where I live is too darn expensive Plus, I have so many doubles now, I really need some room  I tried selling them on Marktplaats, but people were bidding like 12 euro's on the entire lot (30 Ponies)

I have them in packages now, with 3 up to 5 Ponies each and prices range from 7 to 12 euro's

There are plenty of members from within the Netherlands and in Europe on the boards. I buy from the Netherlands and have never found shipping any worse than from any other European country. Unfortunately often country specific boards will have lower price offerings than international or even community specific market places.

Hey there, just a sort of sub question about flea markets in The Netherlands- what TYPE of market do you bring your ponies to? Because I've been to some markets to check and told "Oh no you'l want the rommelmarkt" or some other type of market, there are so many types here! Is there a specific type because as someone who moved here I'm not used to how it works

Hehe, indeed, I took them to the Rommelmarkt    That's where you want to go to find Ponies, or de Kringloopwinkel! In Rotterdam are loads, I've been to a few a few weeks ago and found Ponies at the one near Primark. Ummm... What was the street called, something with Ijzer I believe. They were G3's tho but still Ponies

I am always tempted to take a bunch of G3s and see if any dealers buy them ;-)
But honestly I think it would only be moms with their kids anyway...

Isnt there a dutch collectors forum too where you could try and advertise them?
