Build-a-Bear Ponies' tails
« on: November 04, 2013, 11:30:59 AM »
So I was at the local Build-A-Bear and must have gone through every available Twilight. The tails were all tangled, and worse, most seemed to have glue stuck in them! Oy vey. The manes were all okay, though.

Is that normal for the Build-A-Bear Ponies' tails?

Seems like it, it's very hard to find a good balance between the hair mane and tail mane perfectly.

Twilight does seem to have issues...Mine had several bright green hairs in her mane, and a section that look like it got partially melted 0_o It is possible to get rid of those bits, and at least in the tail it will be less obvious if you have to cut any out. Really makes me wish they had gone for solid hair, though xD Less maintenance!
Idly searching for: loose, good condition G4 Blossomforth, Starbeam Twinkle, Plumsweet. TTM Celestia doll's wings Within UK or EU only, please.
Will also take in Pretty Pony Club (UK magazine) fakies.

Oh my!

I have only picked up Pinkie so far and didnt notice any issue with her in stores. Its not like BaB to have particularly bad quality but I suppose they are also stocking this limited edition in very large numbers and only a handful of their releases have this nylon hair.

Hopefully they have any issues fixed in time for Fluttershy.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

My Twilight seemed okay in the store.  I wasn't really looking at her mane and tail, though.  I was on the look out for bent or folded wings, since I had heard that was a problem.  I managed to get one with really nice wings, thankfully.

Yes, I was also having a problem with the wings often being bent from being crammed on top of each other in the bin. I ended up not getting one, but I haven't given up on the possibility of still doing so in the future.
