« on: October 28, 2013, 02:34:26 AM »
These 2 episode were my favourite of the g1 episodes I wondered if anyone knew if they were available on DVD?

I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find them :(

Escape from Catrina is on the first season box set which is going for crazy amounts of money right now. Not sure about In Dreamland. Never heard of that episode. Could you be referring to Rescue at Midnight Castle? I believe it was on a VHS tape called My Little Pony in Dreamland in the UK.

Yes, "My Little Pony in Dreamland" is another title for "Rescue at Midnight Castle" :).

AFAIK both are on the first season DVD as Bow Tie said, but both are the edited-for-time TV versions (missing the opening and endings, the songs "A Little Piece of Rainbow" [RaMC] and "Good (Before You Turned Bad) Old Days" [Catrina], and one or two other pieces of minor dialogue). Unless I'm mistaken, the unedited versions are currently unavailable on (official) DVDs :(.

I have these episodes and quite a few others as well on copy DVDs - which I'm thinking of parting with (price = shipping + $2 per DVD to cover the costs of the CDs themselves). PM me if you're interested. :)

Oh man. I had no idea that RaMC was also called My little Pony in Dreamland. That is cool.
I think so far the only DVD release (pretty sure in all countries) is the set with the entire first season.

that is interesting and annoying about the editing thing, here is my dvd with both on it, there might have a different cover for different zones. (NZ bought)
next to it is the video  'rescue at midnight castle' that's the only episode on it, that is 30min the other with 3 episodes on it is only 50 mins  so it sounds like its definitely edited/shortened

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!! THAT DVD. I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE.
If RaMC on the DvD isn't edited, that would be super cool. Because it'd be DVD and the full version.

As others have mentioned yes you will get them on DVD but you need to keep an eye out for the box set which is running rather expensive at the moment unfortunately.
