So, I work in a grocery store, in the bakery. Next to my counter is the meat counter, so naturally I'm good friends with most of the meat guys. One of them is this older Italian guy, Tony--he's great fun, jokes around with everyone, and is great with customers. One day a while ago, he grabbed some product (lamb and filet mignon and chicken, all the stuff that was gonna get written off) and made this amazing dinner for everyone. Seriously like something you'd get from a fancy restaurant.
Since then, he's cooked about once a week. It turns out, he was a chef for nearly 30 years! He says he's planning to open his own place once the economy improves. I want to get him on Chopped (for those who don't know, this cooking competition on Food Network) to get him some exposure and money to start with. Does anyone on here know anyone who's been on it?
