Tell me about Baby Ember!

I've seen several different colors of a pony called Baby Ember with no symbol on Ebay. Is there a reason she doesn't have a symbol? Why so many different colors? Tell me anything you know!

There are 4 different versions of her: Ember info
The one with a star came with a cassette, then there's blue ember, pink ember and purple ember...

Basically G1's equivalent of the CMC. Later Hasbro would start giving baby ponies symbols, but she was too early for that, and spent a lot of her time in Rescue at Midnight Castle wondering what kind of pony she would grow into.

The three without symbols were the first baby ponies and they were mail order. They were all "Baby Ember" but you got to choose what color you got...blue with blue hair, lavender with pink hair, or pink with lavender hair. The Star Ember came with a cassette "Ember's Story" which is. REALLY hard to find in good condition. I have all 4 Embers with a few variations in hue for the blue one, from baby blue to rather dark! She's been a fun one to collect and a really versatile army pony
She just didn't have a symbol until she was available in stores with the cassette.

I love purple Baby Ember. I think she's really cute. As everybody else said she was the first Mail Order pony and came in purple, blue and pink. I think the purple one is the most famous because she was they one they used in Rescue at Midnight Castle. I think it would have been nice if Hasbro remembered that they never showed what her symbol was or what she looked like after she grew up. It seemed to me that Rescue at Midnight Castle indicated that when Ember found her speical talent, she'd get her symbol because Twilight told her she's grow up to be her own speical pony.

Such a cutie And a great pony to collect the MO versions for because they usually turn up for sale easily enough.

You were allowed to pick which colour when ordering them [although Ember was offered before the days of the colour MO brochures] so it was a black and white or blue and white order form. But from stories I have heard...you were not always guaranteed the colour you actually asked for!

My sister had Blue Ember when we were little only she had a hair cut. We named her Teddy and said it was a boy
