How the heck did this ebay delivery end up-oh here it is!

So I ordered a blind bag from China, and usually have no trouble receiving the product. I noticed today that the package is out for delivery in Westwego, LA 70094...but my address is Houma, LA 70360! I checked my paypal and ebay addresses to see if for some odd reason someone hacked and screwed things up...apparently my address is correct on everything.

I've contacted the person who shipped it to see if they put the address wrong or something...no response yet. What should I do if my package ends up being in the wrong town in the state?

I got my package in! I love my USPS service...at least they didn't cheaply mark it delivered like UPS

Call the post office! I had a package sent to me that was routed to Washington, I actually went in to my local office with my tracking to ask what was up. Apparently the postal code was wrong. They managed to call the PO over there to have it intercepted and routed back to me. When I got the package it wasn't the senders fault it was the post office worker who entered the info into the system. 
Unfortunately these sorts of mistakes are not terribly uncommon.

To add insult to injury the box was completely caved in like someone stepped or sat on it.. Luckily the doll inside was unharmed.

Thanks Nina! I called the post office in my area. The lady says sometimes they get our mail and we get their mail, so it'll just be a delay. She told me waiting 10 days is fine.

I just had this happen to me! A package ended up in Sterling, VA and I'm in Waldorf, MD. I mean yes, the states are right next to each other, but that's about all that is similar! Thankfully my mom (who sent the package) got it figured out and it got rerouted to me. Apparently the box ended up on the wrong truck and instead of checking the city/state/zip code they tried to drop it off at someone's house and it turned out there was no matching address for them to drop it off! It's crazy!

The package obviously has to be rerouted/sent back out, etc. to your PO, since it is at the wrong one.
