Awwwe he's fabulous!  I would go with your first instinct.  Tucker is a super cute name.
"How much for the horse tornado?"
"Sir, that's a carousel."
"I must have it!"

So we are on Day 2 of introductions.  Chloe is still not sure of him.  I give her a little more leeway with him as she is fairly gently. She's a bit of a silly dog, who is scared of babies.  Last set of fosters she was better with.  Apparently this 2# monster is very scary.  She licks him, but still likes to try and nip at him when I pick him up. Which is isn't a hard nip and she stops when I gently tell her no bites.  Today they rotated who was in my lap and who was checking out who.   No hissing from his end.  And Chloe gave off her nervous whine when he got too close.  I think things will go well between her and him, once Chloe learns that he is not indeed a scary tiger.

Now there is him and Sadie. Sadie is my little monster.  We are still early on so I'm not discouraged yet.  But she still seems to think he is more a toy then a new friend.  In fact she may have tried the same thing with Chloe as a puppy, as that was a very long introduction as well.  So it may be more a matter of size then anything.  She gets those crazy excited dog eyes as she sits waiting for me to sit on the ground holding him.  I'm trying to make this a very positive experience for both animals so when she get too excited she has to go back to her sit, and is told be gentle.  She get praised for gentle licking, but I'm hesitant to involve treats as I don't want her to associate him with treats every time he appears.  So overall a few nip at him, no outright aggressive behavior.  Just super excited and not sure if it's a toy or what.  He again did not hiss at her.

So overall I think we had a good day!

Chloe and him are still figuring each other out.  I did a little more leeway again and they did a I chase you, you chase me.  Then they would scare each other.  No aggressiveness at all, just still aI'm not sure of you.

I tried to change it up with Sadie a bit since he is not afraid of her and put him in the carrier and let her walk around it.  Shes curious but still was nipping at him when he would rub up against the door of the carrier.  When I would tell her to be nice she would back off, then forget and do it again.  After a few minutes though she just sat down and stared at it.  So I think I will keep this up until she is nice and calm when the carrier is in the room.  Then switch to holding him and letting her check him out while I am holding him, until she is calm when doing that.  She has stopped sitting outside the basement door.  So that's a good sign.

My next step I'm debating.  Sadie has a muzzle that I use when I clean her anal glands.  Not because she bites, but because it distracts her from what I'm doing.  I'm thinking of putting that on her and letting her and him in the spare bedroom (supervised).  That way she can't hurt him but can learn that he is family and a new fun playmate! Plus that room has tons of hiding places for him.  I don't think this would be a negative experience for her as she will be so focused on him, and she is already use to wearing one.  But this is still a idea in progress. And I'm waiting till she's not so excited by him and he his bigger before this actually would happen.

I'm determined to make this work! Today was my day off so since I just got the basics the other day, I went and got him more stuff to make his pen more cozy.  He got tons of new toys, treats, a new bigger litter box, a kitty city play center (which he loves!) and some cardboard scratching thing which he also loves.  Oh and a kitten collar with a bell just incase he escapes the basement.

I love my kitten!  I never let myself get attached to my fosters because I knew they had to go away.

I think the muzzle idea is a good one, just to see how he reacts to her without you holding him. He might swat her might might help her realize he is not to be nipped at. And it will give her a chance to show you she is learning he is family :)

Okay so we are 2 1/2 weeks in so I thought I would update. First off he is a wild and crazy man! He loves to bite things so I bought him a small stuffed tigger and whenever he gets wound up enough to bite I give him that.  He immediately starts wrestling and rolling around, so right now this diversion is working.   So far he has good litter box manners and loves to eat his food.  I decided on evo and he is doing really well on it.    I'm going to start him back up on canned food once we move into our new house, and he isn't in a bedroom which really gets stinky with the canned food in his diet.

Next up the dogs. Him and Sadie are on supervised play and good gracious do they love to play and wrestle!  I pretty much have let them to tell each other when things get too rough, unless one of them gets really crazy then they get a break from each other for a little bit.  Once he get bigger Sadie has no idea what she's in for :p.

Chloe on the other hand does not understand why this kitten keeps pouncing and attaching himself to her and becomes very upset by this so they are still learning about each other.  Which is funny because I though Sadie would be the one who would have a hard time accepting him.  She's always been very timid about things though.  Once he gets older and a little calmer they will be fine with each other though.  At least I expect they will live okay just ignoring each other if that's what it came down to.

So far we are looking good.
