It Is Good To Have Things Back To Normal

If anyone has been wondering where I was.....I am fine.

It is just that, some of you may remember that my husband was on dialysis waiting for a kidney transplant. Well that is where I have been.

He received his kidney on June 4th and things are just getting back to normal around here.

So I wanted to let people know I am back and hoping to start showing some of my new stuff soon.

That is great SeashellnBubbles, I know how hard it is for one organ, I can't imagine having to wait for two.

We actually got a somewhat lucky, his dad was a perfect match. He is also doing good.

Wow! I'm glad to hear they're both well...donating can be just as hard on a person and requires such a life change afterward...he should be very proud to have have the heart and amazing love to do such a thing for his son
Unfortunately my BF had to have 2 transplants...the first one the kidney took just fine, but the pancreas clotted and had to be removed. 2 years later he finally got another chance when a pancreas was found to be a perfect match. This time it took and now I honestly can't keep up with the guy! Before he was on dialysis (at home, thankfully...he'd do it overnight while he was sleeping) and his diabetes wasn't controlled as well as everyone would have liked. Now he's no longer a diabetic and the change has been amazing! He's had diabetes since he was 10, and suddenly at 41 it's like he has a whole new life I thank the donors and their families often when I see him so healthy and happy.
