Replacing Twinkle Eyes?

Does anyone have any advice on replacing Twinkle Eyes?

Crystals? What size?

Sequins maybe? Can I just lay those thin plastic sequins over the existing eye?

I am just at a loss at what to do to save my poor Sweet Pops... HELP!
