Hot Topic, and Target price cuts!

So I went to Hot Topic today, on the never-ending quest for the sparkle funko Pinkie Pie. They had quite the variety of ponies but no sparkle variants at all. I was also bummed to find out there were only about 10 in total on the shelf, but that may just because it was in a smaller space.

I used to be terrified of Hot Topic because of the "goth" culture, and I've always been very girly and would get glares when I walked by. I am so happy now with the store and will have to stop by more when I go shopping! The associates were very nice and the store in general was less dark. I even saw two children go in to look at the Adventure Time stuff! They have so much cool fandom stuff, especially ponies. They also had Disney stuff which was awesomeeee

I just wanted to share in case anyone else was "scared" of going in there to buy pony stuff or otherwise.

ALSO at Target today I discovered that both Blind Bags and Fashion Style ponies have had prices reduced. I think Blind Bags are around $2.50, didn't look at the Fashion Styles. They also had the baking set with Mrs. Cake (finally)!

If my mom can go into a hottopic store and shop for me, none of you should have anything to worry about image wise lol. It's changed over the years. They actually have decent lighting now.

I've been shopping there since 1994, when I was still in high school.
Really it's not scary. HT has been my "go to" place for fandom t-shirts.
Great they've got a price cut going on. Me with my money having to go elsewhere.

I could not go into that store either when I was a kid growing up. But now its not bad at all. But I do have to say that there ponies were a bit high a few months back. That is good to hear that some prices have gone down

I always feel weird shopping at Hot Topic. I just don't fit in and stick out like a sore thumb

I've been shopping there a while too, but I remember that my younger sister used to be a bit afraid of it. I guess it can look a little intimidating with all the goth/punk culture and the music that often plays, but the pop culture stuff drew me in pretty quick back in the day.

While I understand why some retailers buy into image...those I work with have in the last decade realised more feet through the door is better than appealing to a restricted clientèle. However there are still stores I sometimes think twice about going into. Thats awesome HT are more appealing than the used to be.

And price cuts! Woo hoo! Hopefully people can grab some bargains.
