Customizing goals?
« on: September 18, 2013, 02:16:13 PM »
Do you ever set goals for your customs? If you do what kind of goals do you set, and have you been able to meet them?

I know when I was in art collage they encouraged us to set lots of goals- to push ourselves to be better artists. As a result I'm still always setting harder and harder goals  >_< My current project is to improve my painting speed~ 40 G1->G4 blind bag ponies in one week! No sculpting, just painting.

I'm currently striving to improve my FBRs. My last one, a G1, came out really well, so I think I am making some progress. I hope to make them comparable to airbrushed ponies :)

Good luck with your own goal! Even with blind bag ponies 40 sounds like quite a bit of work!

good luck! FBRs are so hard to get just right :/ I've found Ceramcoat paints give a more even result on a large area than a lot of comparably priced paints, and craft smart paints have this ultra matte finish that photographs beautifully but gives a bit of a rough texture (if that helps at all XD)

40 BB is a lot of ponies, but I'm right no track with where I expected to be- all the bodies are painted today I finish up there hair and tomorrow on to painting eyes and cutie marks :)
