Hmm, it is hard to choose just one book to recommend....
So....If you like suspense/horror the book Intensity by Dean Koontz is a good one, even worth reading more than once IMO... it is intense!! :D

Song in the Silence by Elizabeth Kerner.  I love it, my original copy has been read so many times it's starting to fall apart!
