How do you feel about every generation (+fakies)?

Sky Skimmer's in my collection though because she just surpasses most G2s to me. She's gorgeous.

Can I just say how much I agree with you on this? Some G2s would probably look better in a different generation style, but some look like they're genuinely G2 and would have that skinny-type build in anything.

This is one of the few G2 ponies I would part with some cash for but only if she was proper cheap

G1: Loooooove G1s! The diversity, the colors, the sort of vintage-ness... I just can't get enough of them.
Fave G1 pony: Many...but we'll go with Firefly.

G2: G2s are my childhood ponies, so I have a special fondness for them. I love their colors, and their sort of sleek elegant-ness. I am addicted to collecting the Euro exclusives!!!
Fave G2 pony: I LOVE THEM ALL!!! Especially the first few years of Euro exclusives. Like, the Princess Ponies and the adorable babies.

G3s: I collected G3s for a while, but I just got sort of disenchanted with them. They're just too...chunky and modern, and most of the poses look weird.
Fave G3 pony: Desert Rose, hands down!

G3.5: They sort of don't exist in my book.

G4s: I like G4s, but I wish there were more to collect and better QC! It just seems like Hasbro doesn't even like their own line anymore... The ponies themselves are super cute though!

Fakies: I don't collect fakies, and I don't really plan to. They just don't have the same "quaint-ness", if you will, as real ponies to me.

G1: I grew up with these. They are my favorite partially because of memories and partly because I'm a collector type that will start to collect almost anything with enough variety if it sparks my interest. My favorite is Tux'N Tails. I saved up to send off for him all by myself even though my mom looked askance at me. Bride needed a hubby.

G2: I don't really like them and don't have any in my herds. I like the SHS type body but the heads have always looked kind of... off... to me. Some of the babies are pretty darn cute though and may win me over. Favorite, Clever Clover. He's my favorite color and eventually I will get him.

G3: My mom got me back into collecting with these. I had completely stopped but she got me a Starsong (of which I have an unintentional mini-army now) and I was off to the races. My favorite of these is Denim Blue. I don't know why except I made special trips around town to find her.

G3.5: I like less than G2 and are on the bottom of the totem pole for me. I have a few for my daughter because she likes them (especially the Ponyville sized ones) but otherwise would skip them. I don't like the superdeformed look outside of some manga/anime. Favorite, Wisteria.

G4: I don't dislike them. I love the cartoon and am glad it brought so many people to love ponies as much or more than I do. I think the brushables are too small and the variety of the BBs should translate over because I counted eighteen different Pinky Pies and no less than 11 of each of the other Mane6. Just, no. I want a lot of different ones, not different ones of the same one. My favorite is Big Mac. Heyup!

Fakies: I have never really collected them until recently. Mostly they're curiosities that can occasionally look adorable. I do absolutely adore the Dollar General newborns. Now that I've seen them I want to get as many of them as are available. All of the cuteness!

G1: The ponies I grew up with.
   Favourite G1 pony: Lemon Drop

G2: I remember my excitement when G2 came out, imagining the My Little Ponies of my early childhood would be back… only to discover that they weren't quite the same. I had a few and enjoyed them, even though there was this nagging feeling that something had been lost. When I first started collecting I went through a phase when I LOATHED G2, but it proved to be just a phase. Lately they've sort of grown on me… lots of pretty color combos out there.
   Favourite G2 pony: Clever Clover for sentimental reasons, Nightglow

G3: Never collected them, but my sister had (and still has) quite a few and both of us love them well. I  sort of dropped out of the bandwagon before the dreaded Core 7.
    Favourite G3 Pony: ???

G3.5: Short and sweet: NO.
    Favourite G3.5 Pony: N/A

G4: Believe it or not, I don't really know much anything about G4, so I honestly have no opinion apart from the fact that what I have seen has not caught my fancy.

Fakies: I don't have much interest in them. As a child I had more Lanard fakies than actual ponies and always felt a little ill at ease about it - I'd have preferred real Hasbro ponies.

G2: I have to admit, when they came out I was shocked!!! I thought they were soo ugly and so "non-MLP"... but as the time went by, Ive grown to like them actually. I dont collect them but I keep those I get in lots and such.

G3: G3 brought me back to collecting ponies in 2004 I like them a lot, love their many different symbols and bright colors.

G4: I love the show! And I really like the ponies, but after collecting about 40 of them I kinda lost the fun. Too expensive (due to zero availability in my area) and the whole thing around bronies, show accurate hairstyles, 1082949 variations of the same ponies over and over kinda made me tired :/

Fakies: I LOVE vintage fakies Simba are the best, followed by Remcos and those glow-in-the-dark donkeys. Good old times <3 Vintage fakies are great!!

G1: I really respect G1 since it was the beginning of MLP. I do not want to collect MLP (at least not anytime soon) because I feel it will be too much with all of my plans for my collection. When I get older and have more funds, I might collect some. I have watched some of the cartoon and I thought it was pretty entertaining.

G2: My very first pony was McDonald's Sundance and I used to carry her around with me everywhere. Since I began collecting, the G2's have really interested me because they look so much different than the other gens. I love their slender bodies and the gems in their eyes. I have a bunch on my wantlist

G3: G3's started my interest in MLP. Even when I was little, I wanted every G3. It's going to be a long journey trying to hunt each and every one of these down but I love all of them so it's worth it I don't recall ever seeing the cartoon but I might give it a shot one day.

G3.5: Their proportions are kinda odd but I don't mind them too much despite G3.5 being my least favorite. I only have two in my collection: FS Pinkie Pie and McDonald's Sweetie Belle. I probably will not be collecting this gen but I might get a couple more. I'm not a fan of the cartoon. I tried watching it a few times but the art style pushed me away.

G4: G4 is what got me into ponies again and into collecting. I love their small size and I'm a huge fan of the brushables. The blind bags are a cute idea but I don't collect them, way too much to keep up with. I love the show and most of the characters in it. I plan to only get the ponies that I like so I have most of the brushables with only a few exceptions. G4 is my favorite collection probably because it's what got me back into ponies. I also really love this gen because it has Fluttershy in it and she's like me but in pony form so she's my favorite.

Fakies: It really depends on the fakie. Some I find to be really cute and I want them, others really scare me

G1: My favorite generation, I grew up with G1.
   Favourite G1 pony: This is a really hard question, but its either Pina Colada or Posey.

G2: They're just.. not my thing. I don't know what is it about them, but they're just.. Too far from G1!

G3: I think G3 is a really nice generation. Again, I dont have the same relationship with it as I do with G1, but I like how G3 ponies look.
   Favourite G3 pony: I never thought about this.. Probably Periwinkle or Caribbean Delight. I love their colours.

G3.5: I dont like this generation. They look just so weird to me.
    Favourite G3.5 Pony: I dont have one.

G4: I think G4 is a nice generation, but there is just too many releases of the same ponies! That's just boring.

G1:  My absolute favorite generation EVAR!  Not only are they the generation I grew up with, but they really hold up over time.  I love everything about them.  They are the perfect size...not too big, not too small.  There is such a diversity in, not only color schemes, but actual kinds.  You have soft ones, jewel-eyed ones, neon ones, pastel ones, boys, babies, baby boys...  There's always at least one pony to suit everyone's fancy. 
   Favorite G1:  Merry Treats!!  She's one of my favorite childhood ponies.

G2:  I didn't really grow up with these, and I wasn't into them when they first came out.  However, with the help of the internet and google image searches, I've really gotten to liking them.  I'm still not too keen on the style, or size, but they are cute for what they are. 
   Favorite G2:  Prince Clever Clover.  Love that dark color scheme.

G3:  My second favorite generation.  Again, G3 had a lot of diversity, though not the same amount as G1.  I also really loved the playsets and little nick-knacks that came with the ponies.  The poses are also some of the cutest ones I've seen in MLP.  The diva pose and walking poses are just precious!  Also, lill me if you must, but I actually really enjoy the movies G3 had to offer.  They were so cute, and introduced me to a lot of wonderful voice talent who have become my inspiration in my own quest to do voiceover work.
    Favorite G3:  Pinkie Pie.  She's just precious!

G3.5:  I'm...ok with this generation.  I'm not thrilled with it.  The main problem I have is the fact that there were only 7 characters released over.  And over.  And over.  It got old, fast.  I enjoyed Twinkle Wish Adventure, though.  That was pretty darn cute.
    Favorite G3.5:  Scootaloo

G4:  I have kind of a love-hate relationship with G4.  Don't get me wrong, I adore G4.  I adore all generations.  However, some aspects have turned me off (not going there right now, don't worry).  I enjoy the series, and I enjoy the toys.  Though, I do dislike the size of the ponies.  I've been trying to become accustomed to their microscopic size, but it's hard after having grown up with bigger ponies.  I dislike the lack of brushables, although I've seen quite a few new ones (particularly that Chrysalis set...that set is amazing!).  OK, enough negativity.  What do I like about G4?  Like I said, I enjoy the series.  It's cute, and I like the characters.  I also like the different merchandise that's come out.  It's amazing what people can think up, like those cupcake keepsakes! 
    Favorite G4 pony:  Luna

Oops, I almost forgot about the fakies!  I'm not a huge fan of fakies.  There are a few I adore, but I don't actively collect them.

G1: The generation I grew up with and my favourite by far. The line had the most diverse characters and designs of all the generations. The artwork on the backcard is beautiful and I love the bizarre and dangerous adventures that the G1 ponies had in the cartoons, books and comics.
   Favourite G1 pony: Moonstone

G2: I used to dislike G2 ponies, but they have grown on me a little. Their symbols are a bit bland imo, more colour would have been nice. Not a big fan of the gem eyes and I don't much care for the magic motion ponies. The babies are cute.
   Favourite G2 pony: None

G3: Love the moulds but I dislike that most G3 ponies' symbols are only on one side. My favourite G3s are the art ponies and the cutie cascades. Dislike the cartoons, too girly.
    Favourite G3 Pony: Don't have yet, but Junko Mizuno is probably one of my faves

G3.5: My main dislike of the G3.5's is the core 7 thing. The actual ponies are not that bad and the artwork is actually quite cute. I think of G3.5 as a cross between G3 and G4, almost as if Hasbro knew G4 was coming and they were trying to get people used to a different shaped pony - even the logo is a cross between the two.
    Favourite G3.5 Pony: Cheerilee

G4: I love the G4 ponies and are now my fave gen after G1. Although I don't collect the FS ponies I think the quality of them is amazing. If they had symbols on both sides they would be perfect.
    Favourite G4 Pony: Ploomette

Fakies: Hard to explain, but I both dislike and like them at the same time. I have aquired many fakies over the years, mostly in lots. I guess I keep them because no one else will love them.
    Favourite Fakie: Those rinse and spit ponies are hilarious! Although I don't own one yet.

G1: I think this one is my favorite. i love the movies and toys. Their eyes are so soft and I love how relaxed and natural their poses look.

G2: I like this gen too. I love the little eye crystals. I wish I had more of these.

G3: this gen introduced me to ponies! I didnt collect back when I had them, but I did love the ones I had to death. I love this gen.

G3.5: i like this gen. Their big eyes are adorable. I like their body shape too.

G4: this reintroduced me to ponies! I love it dearly. The show as well as the toys. Its my second favorite

G1: Child of the 80s here so I adore G1! They look just like proper fat little ponies with the added awesomeness of colours and pretty symbols.
Favourite G1 pony: So many... Buttons and Noddins are awesome and I do have a soft spot for Bowtie!

G2: I think they're cute. They were out when I was a teen, but they didn't sell them where I lived so I only managed to buy them when I came to the UK on holidays. I just wish they'd done more unicorns...
Favourite G2 pony: Easily Copper Glow, such a stunner.

G3: I was very impressed with this gen, and they sold them in my home town! A nice similarity to G1 while still being unique and new. I wish I had space and money for more of them! And I'd have love to have seen a G3 take on boy ponies!
Favourite G3 pony: Hhm...I love coconut Grove and Brights Brightly. But I'm always coming across more I want.

G3.5: These came out while I was at uni, they really are the only gen I'd never collect. Poor things.

G4: They are kinda cute. I wish they were all fashion style sized though! I wouldn't mind owning all the FS ponies if I had the money.
Favourite G4 Pony: Dewdrop Dazzle and Sunset Shimmer, I don't own either but I'd love them as fashion styles!

Fakies: It really depends on the fakie. Some of them are really adorable and other make me want to cry!
Favourite Fakie: I love Magic Meadow ponies (especially the unicorns) and I had some awesome Dream Beauty fakies when I was younger (I wish I'd kept them).

G1: Always been my favorite of the MLP line.  I like the colors, symbols and playsets so much.  I enjoy the sea ponies and nostalgia centered around each pony, the cartoons and merchandise.  When I look at them they make me smile.  They are just beautiful toys.
Favorite: Yum Yum and Sea ponies

G2: The G2 line is one that was so different from G1, I had a harder time attaching to the line in general.  I guess sometimes I am not ready for the changes.  I like the babies the most out of all the ponies.  I am not as fond of the accessories though.  I respect them for trying something different with MLP with G2 and I can see their appeal for many.
Favorite: Just the babies

G3: I totally loved G3.  They were colorful, bright and cheerful to me.  They brought the joy of collecting ponies back to me.  I dove in to this line head first and am still looking for them.  I adore the babies and only lack one to finish that collection.  There are a few of the adults I still want.  They were so much fun.  I can't say I was that impressed with the cartoons but hey the ponies themselves are fantastic.  The hair was very nice, I love the big eyes.
Favorite: Port-o-Bella

G3.5: I have not collected this group.  They have nice hair and the little newborn cuties look cute for little girls who like the whole baby in a nursery concept.   I just couldn't get into these and I wasn't sure why.  I do have some that have been given to me as gifts.  I would not say they are terrible by any means, I just couldn't get into them after the beauty and versatility of G3.  There wasn't a lot to G3.5.

G4: While I don't care for this line, I love the blind bags. I have tons of them. They are my favorites as I was a huge Ponyville fan.  I am thrilled I can collect smaller, easier to store ponies from this line.

Favorite: Apple bloom
