TRU leaves old pages like that up with "sold in stores" highlighted...probably for cheap hits?

For example, here's a wrestling figure from 2010 http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3819456

This figure was long gone from stores before the start of 2011, but they still keep it's page up even though it will never come back in stock.

Yep, bubble busting. Loads of websites leave the merch up for a while after it's been sold.

Exactly what popyduggan says, its a traffic driver for the site. They will track what is popular - and right now Blossomforth and Lily are perhaps the most sought after [and therefore searched] early G4s. So they live links again but condition people so they cant purchase. It drives people to the website - cheap and easy SEO in many ways.
