Equestria Girls pony pack dilemma

I seriously spent 20 minutes in the pony aisle with the movie, Twilight's and Celestia's pony packs in hand.  The movie had a coupon to save $5 if you bought a toy with it so I thought I'd check them out.  Here is my dilemma, I just don't really like the dolls.  On the other hand i REALLY REALLY liked the ponies that came in the pony packs.  Had the pony pack dolls been jointed I would have bought them but they weren't. I couldn't justify spending that much to get the pony I liked with a doll I don't. 

Does anyone else have this hang up with these dolls?


So here is my request.  If any of our doll collector friends buy those pony packs and don't want the pony and are willing to sell them for a reasonable price, please PM me.

I kind of have a similar issue.  I got the 2-pack which I like, but I wish the dolls in it were jointed.  I REALLY wanted the jointed Rainbow Dash, but she hadn't arrived yet.  I'm keeping the set I have boxed with the receipt just in case jointed Rainbow comes in and I decide to return this for her...

I love the dolls but the fact that they aren't articulated is preventing me from buying any of them

This is my exact issue! I find most dolls creepy, and the expressions on these ones reaaaaaally hit hard in the Uncanny Valley but they're kind of cute too? But yeah, the lack of articulation really sucks, and I just don't like the Dash or Fluttershy ones enough =/ I was hoping the pony packs would have better articulation buuuut nope =/ I guess it's just a case of waiting for either more deluxe dolls or for the regular ones to hit the bargain bin. I really wish they came with the clothes they wore in the film, too, rather than...whatever it is they're wearing. I thought their outfits were super cute so I'm kind of confused why Hasbro didn't go with those.

I bought the movie this morning, I saw the coupon and tried it out on non-equestria girl pony toys and it still worked!  I got $5 off princess skyla!

As for the pony packs, I plan on getting them! Celestia's is super cute and I love the pony she comes with.

Yea the articulated girls are much more attractive, that I totally agree on.
But I don't think that should stop you from getting the pony packs, if you dont want to keep the humans, you got several options.

1 sell to somebody
2 customize
3 donate for charity
4 give to a sibling/cousin/ nephiew
5 put it away till you get kids of your own

There is plenty you can do, I can only give you the advice to follow your heart.

Alas I have seen a lot of people say this. I actually really like the Celestia doll but I am not a fan of ponies as dolls in general so I am probably only going to pick up a Rarity one.

I like Sakuyamons idea - pop her on ebay and I am sure someone will purchase her.

*nods in agreement*    yeah you could always sell off or trade the doll here if you still only want the pony .
 I saw these for the first time yesterday - and while I thought they were a bit weird, they were also cute in an odd kinda way... but the normal ones.. meh. I liked the deluxe/articulated ones so I got  RD (also she can go with my RD army if I decide I dont want any of the other dolls). If they make them all into deluxe ones then I might get more characters. I was hoping  that the ones in the pack with their pony selves were going to be the deluxe/articulated version *sigh*

Two days ago I bought the Celestia pack for just the pony. The pony figure is AWESOME! Except for the cutie mark which is a little plug in button, which is weird. But not a huge problem. I'm finding that I'm actually kind of liking the doll too, even though I'm not a fan of humanoid dolls at all. I really like the wings you can attach on to her back. Still haven't decided if I will keep her or give her to a friend's daughter, but for right now she is standing on my pony shelf.
