She turned up along with the first wave of singles and deluxe She is a really random choice for the release - you would think Rarity would make more sense. But I guess RD is just such a popular character for them.

But I guess RD is just such a popular character for them. I would say she makes more sense than Rarity for a super-long-hair release. The toy is about fun hair, and Rainbow Dash has the most fun hair (Rainbow = fun). If they were real people, Rarity would definitely be the character who would want super-hair, but from what I've seen, RD gets kids more excited. Hasbro could probably have done really well with a rainbow hair line, but as we've all seen, they are really out of touch with what kids (and collectors) want.
I saw her at my Wal-Mart I loooove the long hair, I want to switch her head with the articulated RD, but I don't want to pay over 20 bucks for a head!
