ebay package arrived with postage due

I bought a merry go round pony soakie and paid over $5 for shipping I got the package and I still needed to pay $3.19 postage due. The mail lady said she thought it was intentional cheating on his part by claiming it was lighter than it was. His feedback is not encouraging either, lots of people said he doesn't respond to emails but I sent him one anyway. I may have to open a case.

While this completely stinks, I don't know if there is anything that can be done about it.  I think the best thing to do would be to call eBay and ask what your options are.  I had this happen to me once and I had to pay $14!  I did not pursue eBay for it though because it was not really the seller's fault entirely. 

On a side note, if you had recently filed a change of address, and the seller shipped to your previous address because it was what was provided to them through eBay, the post office will charge you for the forward on certain shipping methods.

Well, when I opened the package i found that he included an extra pony, a baity tic tac toe. So essentially I paid $3.19 for an extra pony. It was nice of him and I appreciate it so I will not pursue the shipping with ebay.

I've had this happen before too   I'm glad it was because there was a surprise pony included in your package though

I guess that was nice.  I am glad you are okay with it, but It is still frustrating...
