Ebay refund- is this done? non- pony item

I need help.  This is very confusing.

Explanation is a bit wordy and might be confusing to read.  If you want to just skip to the second paragraph.


I bought a non-pony item from ebay in june.  When the item arrived to me the item condition had a problem that wasn't described (was a plushie with it's whiskers pulled out of one side and were all on the other side and were just long and hanging there.)  Anyway, I opened a case with the buyer and they were a little slow to respond but they did after a few days which wasn't a big deal.  They offered to refund me 25% since did want to keep the item but I knew I was going to have to try to learn to fix the plushie myself or just be happy with how it was which I was fine with.  I wouldn't have bought it if I knew of the condition and the photos and description didn't show or say so.   But that's not the problem.  The problem is the seller kept saying they were going to give the partial refund but they didn't.  Then ebay sent an email saying that the case was going to close since there was no activity of the case.  I emailed the seller again (I was trying to be really patient with them and I'm not very familiar with opening cases on ebay).  The seller emailed me again and said they didn't realize that they didn't refund it yet because they thought they had but they looked and they hadn't yet.  Waited a several more days, still no refund (and we're talking less then probably $4.00 to send).  So I had my husband call ebay to tell them that the seller agreed to send 25% refund on it but they keep not following through.  Ebay said the only thing to do was to escalate the case because otherwise the case would be closed really soon.  Hubby escalated the case.  Two days later we get an email from ebay saying I've been refunded the full amount.

Now this is where I'm confused.  Since I got a full refund does that mean I have to ship the item back?  No where does it say to ship it back and there is no address to ship it back either.  Also it also says on the email "eBay Customer Support has refunded you through PayPal and the case is closed." and "Final decision:  The case has been closed in your favor." and "eBay Customer Support comments: "You have been issued a courtesy refund by eBay."

Does this mean I don't have to send it back and things are done or will they be sending another email saying I need to send the item back?  I'm so confused...

Nope, it's yours.  Enjoy.     If you feel uncomfortable with how Ebay handled it, you can re-pay the seller.

eBay loves their buyers. Since the seller did not actually respond to the case, it is yours and you do not owe the seller anything.
