Am I the only one that thinks these are kinda meh? I'm sorry, I don't mean to put down what others like, When I saw the post, I thought it was for the other Funko figures that I like lol. Honestly no hurt feelings anyone. To each their own :)
Just not my cup of tea :satisfied:

They do look a bit reminiscent of the dreaded G3.5s, don't they? I'm not a big fan of the whole giant head thing (which is why I was disappointed when I first saw the new Littlest Pet Shop toys). I plan to collect the normal looking Funko toys, but I'm not sure if I will try to pick up any of these weird giant head ones.

Here's something weird-

In June early July-  all three metallic ponies (Dash, Pinkie and Twilight) were for available for pre-sale as a "shared exclusive" 3 pack for $24.  That listing no longer exists-  now they have just Twi and Pinkie-  and Dash appears only on the Gemini website.

So did the people (like myself) who pre-ordered all three- now get shafted?  I sent Towiz an email but never heard back.

I suspect Toy Wiz may have been getting ahead of themselves to be honest.

The packaging always had the Gemini exclusive label on it so Toy Wiz's claim to be selling it was a little odd. I know they buy up exclusives from other retailers and re sell them at an inflated price and I suspect they thought they would be able to do that here again. Only to come up against Gemini who work a little different from Target or TRU.

The more I look at the creepier they get.
I had a normal one in my hands in the comic book store and at first I was like "oh so cute" and then gradually that turned into a "oh my god this scares me" feeling.

That's what I think too.  I'm pretty irritated at Toywiz.  I wasn't exactly burning to get these (it was an impulse buy I'll admit) but do NOT pre-sell me items that you don't even know whether or not you are going to get.  Jerks.  I actually was reading their feedback on ebay (apparently they sell a lot of stuff on ebay) and boy do they have some seriously negative feedback !  Enough to put them on a bad trader's list actually.  I had no idea.

I am never a fan of a company who often act as a price gouger. The way they sell blind bags by hiking up the price on the most popular ones to sometimes 3 or 4 or 5 times above RRP just makes them seem more pony flipper less honest retailer. I would not mind so much if they simply presented themselves as what they are - a toy dealer more than a toy retailer.

I would have been annoyed by that as well Galactica.

I have all three and while they are cute mine aren't the greatest quality with all of them missing chunks of paint. Let me know if anyone wants to see pics :)
