I have tried sunfading - no luck.  What else can I do?

Hmm...looks like some serious ingrained rust stains.

I take it she is completely cleaned out in the inside? No remaining signs of the rust from the washer at all?

If you have tried sunfading unfortunately I cant think of anything else. The stain has soaked through from the inside to the outside which means magic eraser will not have any effect.

Unfortunately I would think the reason the sun fading has not worked is because the stain is not on the plastic but in the plastic itself.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Yeah, sadly that's what I'm thinking... I can't see any harm in more sunfading, so outside she goes...  *sigh*  She has such pretty hair, too!

Thanks Hathorcat!

yep looks like Rust Stains that have gone and seeped through, especially with how 'circular' the pattern is around the tail

If sun fading doesn't work then there isn't much that can be done I thin :(
My DeviantArt, why not drop by and take a look!

Wow, I really wish I could suggest something
She looks like such a pretty pony otherwise! Her symbols look so pink! I'm used to seeing faded symbols on her. Her hair looks lovely too.
I'm afraid I can't think of anything to get the stains out, but just a suggestion to make her display better; you could put a ribbon in her tail? It might hide the stain to a degree. You could even add one around her neck (maybe with a pendant on it?) to hide the one on her neckline.

Hopefully someone else may be able to come up with something

Any chance CLR or another rust remover type product could help? It might be a risk with the blue plastic, so it would depend on whether you were willing to try it.

I've heard about using it on pony hair but not the plastic- maybe someone else could weigh in.
