Safe to flat iron?
« on: August 02, 2013, 07:11:47 AM »
My friend gave me a small lot of ponies yesterday. The lot included Baby Romperooni. She has really bad frizz. I was wondering if its safe to flat iron her hair?

I flat iron my Romperooni...but it doesn't seem to be doing anything about her frizziness  :( I think it's safe to say that G3 and G4 hair is safe for flat ironing though!  :P
Oh no!

I've flat ironed before as well.  Start with a low temp.  Mine straight iron can go up to 300 before it burns the hair, but they are all different. I then wet the hair down and put a bunch of conditioner on it, then I flat iron them.

Yupp just make sure her hair is nicely coated in conditioner. Good luck!

Ya, make sure its low temp. Its really bad frizzy hair, then you can go up alittle, but not too much.

Now what I do, I do condition my ponies manes and tails, and I rinse some of it out, but leave some in.
I shake the access water out, so its damp enough then I flat iron...it will sizzle because its drying the hair in the process. Then I let my ponies hang dry  :P

Oh good luck! As others have said make sure the temp is low and the hair is lathered with conditioner and wet and you should get on fine :)
